1st Edition Stamp

I was wondering if there were two different kinds of 1st edition stamps for the base set. I have some 1st edition cards from the base set and the majority have a thick number one and I have a few that have a skinner number one I don't know if its a misprint or if there are two different 1st edition stamps.
 
I don't know, most of my 1st editions for Base Set are the same, the only one thinner is my 1st French Porygon.
 
Here are the two different 1st edition stamps:
The one on the left has a thick one and the one on the right has a skinny one.

I don't know about the french 1st editions but so far I have only seen the thick one first edition symbol for the english shadowless the base set.
 
Anyone with 1st edition base shadowless pokemon cards have different thickness on the number one or were there two different kinds of 1st edition stamps?
 
I heard on Ebay from a high-end collector that the thick-numbered ones were the first print run of the 1st edition base set and are rarer than the thin-numbered ones. You can ask him yourself, his ebay name is ebirdman. He does also have a shop on Ebay.
