(2) ‘Pokemon Smash’ Announcing a New Game, New Movie 15th Poster: Two Kyurem Formes, Meloetta Reveal

._. Wha-wha... What? Sooooo much information! Bad timing for me being sick.

First of all, what the heck is with them just tossing out Meloetta like that? I'm fine with the very early revelation, but it would have been nice for it to have its own official announcement rather than being tacked on with the rest of the news flood. It just feels less important, as if it's just something on the side with the main focus being the Kyurem formes. Doesn't even stand up to what I expect the revelation of a Mythical Legendary to be. Is Meloetta's Sugimori art even revealed yet?

About the Kyurem Formes: I did expect a fusion-like appearance to be one of the possibilities, so I'm not too shocked. But the designs are just amazing (and at the same time, a little odd). Drawing them is going to be interesting.
 
Nice!, but now I'm going to have to choose which game I want.... They both look so cool...


edit: Maybe Instead of the orb opening into Reshiram/ Zekrom, Kyruem shows up and fuses with it? Or, If it is a direct sequel, theres probably a new trainer that stumbles upon the reshi/zek that N has released 5 years before and that mixes with kyurem....

Or.... The trainer meets N, who still has the legendary from the game before, and the hero and N have to work together to stop Ghestis, who reformed a new team plasma, and somewhere in the game N after that gets killed be kyruem, and the truth / dreams in N's heart pulls a bond between Reshi/Zek and Kyruem and awesomly fuses them together, creating the new form....

So I got on Pokebeach today to see what's going on, and then...

Anyway, a few things:
1. I love the fact that there are going to be two sequel games. Great call, Nintendo.
2. These formes are probably some of the wierdest, most asymetrical, and threatening looking Pokemon I have ever seen.
3. When they say "sequel," does that mean that it will be after Getsis was defeated? I highly doubt it, but it's possible.
4. These are going to make amazing EX cards. Can't wait to see them!
5. While they're both awesome, I like White Kyurem (that's the Reshi/Kyu one, right?) a little better. I'll be getting them both, though, so it doesn't matter.
6. What type will these guys be? Fire/Ice and Electric/Ice seem like they would be the most likely, but I feel like Dragon needs to be in there somewhere.

So...yeah. This is freaking amazing, and I can't wait to see more of these new Kyurem formes.

Pokemon.com doesn't have an exact release date, but it says "Coming Soon!" Coming Soon does not mean 2013. December is six months after June. We are definitely getting them this year!!!! I think Keldeo, Melotta, and the 15th Movie will all be revealed in the US very soon. Hopefully!

Guys please control yourself with capital letters. I have seen multiple posts with a lot of caps.
 
I personally would prefer if the game stayed in Unova but also went to a new place (similar to the Sevii Islands).

Someplace new, fresh, and possibly tied to a future game but not in an old region.
 
Xous, I feel the exact same way. I have no idea why they decided to release Meloetta so early, let alone its appearance. I'm not sure if the Sugimori artwork has been released yet, but if it hasn't, I can't wait for it. :]
 
If these are just games like Platinum and Emerald, it just doesn't seem like it would be worth it at all, it being only about a year after B&W were first released. I don't think they could do anything to make these better or different than the original B&W. There is only one solution.

A different story, different main characters, different gyms, different rivals, different Elite Four.
And the story taking place about 10-20 years after B&W. If this is all true, what if you could battle the main boy character in B&W like you could battle Red in Gold/Silver? Or for the him to make appearances in the story?
 
Am I the only one disappointed with this news? I would've figured that Nintendo/Game Freak would give us a remake of Black and White not a direct sequel where Reshiram and Zekrom are doing the fusion dance with Kyurem like in Dragonball Z. I don't get it, it's like Nintendo/Game Freak are degrading themselves by force because they are losing out to Sony and Microsoft in the video game wars.

I'm glad we are finally getting Keldeo and Melotta in English, but for the love of God why did they think it was okay to fuse the Gen 5 Dragons with one another? I do like the idea of Ice/Electric and Ice/Fire Type Pokemon but I think they should've been seperate Pokemon instead of fusions of current legendaries. I was okay with Mewtwo being a clone of another Pokemon, but this is just ridiculous.
 
I get the feeling that the stats will be something like this: (note that these are avariges of Rshi/Zeki's and Kyurem's stats)

-Black Kyurem:
HP:120 (the closest number divisible by 5 when avariging Zekrom and Kyurem's HP)
Att: 140
Def:105
SAtt: 125
SDef: 95
Speed: 90 (the closest number divisible by 5 when avaraging Zekrom and Kyurem's Speed)

-White Kyurem:
HP:120 (the avarige HP between Reshiram and Kyurem)
Att: 125
Def: 95
SAtt:140
SDef: 105
Speed: 90 (the avarige Sped between Reshiram and Kyurem)

There's no telling what they'll actually be, but this will probabally be close to the actuall numbers.

What are we supposed to believe, a Kyurem had a baby with a Reshiram/Zekrom, even though Ky is genderless?

Did you know that originally Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom were all the same Pokemon?

That's what I'm thinking. It's not a 3rd installment, with added features. They're two sequels to two games. If not that, then Nintendo is trolling us by releasing two "3rd" games, and titling them Black and White TWO.

Eh, most likely not on the Red thing. Ash is Red, and the very first original trainer from when there was only a male character. Now it's different, with neither character in the anime as far as I know, and neither having massive importance aside from their own games. I do think that we'll see some older versions of past characters, though, with N hopefully being an older man, fighting on your side as a mysterious protagonist. I guess we just have to wait to find out. Though I must say, if an international release is confirmed, I'll be trying to spoil as little as possible for myself.
 
In regards to Meloetta, keep in mind that this was a leaked poster. While it is true that revealing Meloetta this early when we just got Keldeo is strange, it's possible that we'll get a proper reveal as the movie's release date gets closer.

The more I think about this Idea, the cooler it gets. Pokemon does seem to be getting at least a little darker... not like team rocket killing pokemon though....
 
Would be hilarious if this game introduced Gen 6. I'm going to wait for more news before judging the game. And to those upset over the new formes, it was kinda expected, or did you not pay attention to the story in Black and White?

This probably won't happen, but what if this game includes a few new Pokemon? And still call them from Generation 5? Or Generation 6?
