(2) ‘Pokemon Smash’ Announcing a New Game, New Movie 15th Poster: Two Kyurem Formes, Meloetta Reveal

I have a feeling that the forme changes will work something like how Shaymin changed forme (not including the "only stys that way when not Frozen/in the middle of night" factor). If we all remember, the Black/White Orbs were Key Items. If Kyurem changed forme via those, then first of all, it would prevent the player from transfering it to B/W, and second, you wouldn't be able to get rid of it, unlike with Giratina's Griseous Orb in Plat./GH/SS, if you accidently hit "trash" instead of "hold," it would be gone for good, since DP never "knew" of anything called the Griseous Orb (needless to say, you can transfer the Griseous Orb from BW from game to game now).
Or maybe it will be a Deoxys-type thing in which its form depended on version in Gen III.

I have been reading all pages today of this thread and I put her some thoughts.

1: I think there could be changes we may not expect, I do not think we get more changed pokemon or new ones, but I guess like some people said a "time difference" in the story line could excist with an complete changed Unova, Like the original BW games, there are changes, the Unova of both games will be altered with one with more "nature" and one with more "urbanisation". They could extend the region with more city's and towns, they could make Anville Town bigger with more houses and actually make it worth visiting.

2: like others said, a possible new region, but will we get new pokemon? As in Gold and Silver style, with some new pokemon and the rest mostly baby pokemon and evolutions from the Unova pokemon, or could it be an weird region where Unova pokemon and pokemon that were "rare" in most other games live and be another unexpected thing from GF. But yeah then there is still the thing about starters.

3: It will be an new story line, but still mostly based on the original BW region Unova with an handful of new features

on a side note:
With Game Freak doing something unexpected as this, I can still see an R/S/E remake coming and being an Emerald one after BW2.
The reasons for that idea is that Emerald was the first "3rd game" that actually made a lot of sense to me, the pikachu add from Yellow was to get the feeling of the anime. Crystal had Suicune, while it was already easy to get, it just was for the story, I guess? . Emerald was the first "3rd game" that changed much more of the storyline and which made it possible to catch Raquaza before the elite 4, which is to me if Yellow would have had the feature to catch Mewtwo at lvl 50 before the elite 4, with an changed story, if you get what I mean.

On top of that I can't be the only one who thinks the legendaries look ridiculous.

Well, I'm pretty excited about a sequel to previous games. The only thing that doesn't appeals me is Kyurem forms. I think they look... Ugly. Black Kyurem even looks about to fall any time, with those big/weird limbs.

But I'm not going to whine about that, these games have so much potential, and I'll be able to box them whenever I want :p

Does the Black Kyurem Form remind anybody of Druddigon? It's stance is very similar to Druddigon in the games. I can imagine it swinging it's arms around. Also, I don't like the new forms that much. I felt they could have done better. Well, anyways, I'm glad it's on the DSi, so that can give me some more time. I haven't had enough money yet for a 3DS.

Before I actually comment: Oh my gosh YAY! Not expected but YAY! (Would've been all CAPS, but didn't *exactly* wanna spam. :p Eh hem, anyways...

It all makes sense to me now! I just got done reading this ENTIRE thread, (And MAN was it long. :p), and I have concluded a theory of my own. :D

So, just go with me, what if, DON'T YOU DARE WALK AWAY!!! I SEE YOU! *USes Jirachi to make you float so you have to listen to me and make B2W2 come out on June 2nd in the U.S. (Pun COMPLETELY intended) :p* Anyways... What if the new formes REALLY ARE new Pokemon!? Think about it. Keldeo AND Meloetta were just revealed, so why not Genesect too? And then Black Kyurem and White Kyurem turn out to be #650 and #651? Just a theory. I'm not going to go all kaplooy on you if you critcise. =)

No other form(e)s of Pokemon have taken up a new space in the Pokedex (I'm a little unsure about that, but I think it's right.) . Plus, if these new form(e)s were to take spaces in the pokedex, it would have a blank space.

Although the pokedex could always change in B/W2, but if this is the case would it be actually possible to get a complete pokedex in B/W without B/W2? Well, not at this time at least, Genosect might come out on an event soon but the sequel is coming out way too early for that if June 2nd is the release date.

These are not new Pokemon, they are formes of Kyurem (hence the names Black Kyurem and White Kyurem). Though very little about this game has been confirmed (how the hell are we getting all these theories, anyway?), the fact that these are actually Kyurem formes is confirmed.

On that note, I think that these formes will keep their Dragon/Ice typing for a couple of reasons. First, Ice Burn and Freeze Shock (that's what those moves are called, right?) are Ice-type moves, so it would be silly to give a Pokemon a non-STAB signature move. Second, these are obviously (at least to me) part Ice type, but for the reason I just mentioned and the fact that they are covered in ice. And like what some others have said, the Tao Trio has been referred to as Dragons WAY too much for them to drop Dragon typing on Kyurem's formes (that would kill the whole idea of a single, unified DRAGON anyway). So yeah... They're Ice/Dragon, I'm telling you right now.

P.S. I don't know why I thought of this, but wouldn't it be awesome if they made these guys dual Dragon/Water (Ice) types in the TCG? If they brough back dual types in the TCG I would be soooooo happy :p[

We're getting these theories from hints that were in Black and White before, such as the ending and the whole story surrounding the dragons.

It's been amusing reading all the rampant speculation in this thread. I'll have to remember to come back and read this in a few months for some good laughs.

That said, I'm pretty optimistic for the games being amusing and fun if nothing else. Withholding any further judgment until we have more information.

I'm kinda glad that it's not 3DS exclusive, though. I've resigned myself to the fact that I'm going to be buying a 3DS at some point, but I may as well continue to put it off as long as I can, since I have no use for/interest in 3D graphics at all. >_>

My quick opinion on the whole Pokemon fusion-thing:

This is cool because it has never been done in a Pokemon game, and has to do with the lore of Kyurem/Reshiram/Zekrom. However, I don't think that Pokemon will ever create "Pokemon Fusions" because they have no reason to and it messes up a whole bunch of stuff about evolution. Also, while this isn't original in other franchises, this is actually an original and never-before-seen concept in Pokemon.

Besides, has it even been confirmed that these are fusions of Kyu and the other dragons? Because all it says is that they are named Black Kyurem/White Kyurem, they are alternate formes of Kyurem, and they have something to do with Reshiram and Zekrom. While these hints (along with the lore) kinda point to something like a fusion, it has not been confirmed.

All I'm saying is, don't count your Torchics before they hatch (see what I did there?).

What you are saying is totally match what I was thinking. It's like this kind of thing is especially created for this trio only due to their lores. That's why I kept emphasizing on the differences between fusion and equipment. And of course we all know that "fusion" is just a speculation made by interpreting the lores of the trio. No one know for sure if it's really fusion or not.

Okay, I found this out, here's another trailer on the Pokemon Movie Website: http://www.pokemon-movie.jp/index.html
Just click on the video thingy at the bottom.

Why is it a failed reboot? I kind of enjoy this generation to be honest.

I'll admit I enjoyed Gen 5 as well, I just think it would've been better If it
tried not to copy the success of Gen 1 as much and tried to be more like
previous Generations where they had new evolutions of Pokemon from past Generations and kept stuff like the Vs. Seeker that made those Gens a success.

Infact we still haven't gotten new Eeveelutions for Ghost, Fighting,
Steel, and Rock. I still think most of the designs for Gen 5 suffered from a lack of originality and it's all because Game Freak was trying too hard to make "copies" of Gen 1 Pokemon for the Gen 5 brand so to speak.

So technically Gen 5 isn't as much of a failed reboot as much as it could've been
better than Gen 4 with better Pokemon designs and the formula that Game Freak stuck with for a long period of time. A bold move on Game Freak's part for what they've done with Gen 5 so far so all in all I'm not too disappointed but I guess I set my expectations a bit high.

That's actually not a new trailer, it's a teaser trailer that was revealed well over a month ago.

Completely understandable.

Honestly, the new Kyurem formes looked like that it was based on Reshiram and Zekrom. Does anyone think this?
