(2) 'Dark Explorers' Images, Clearer Box Art of 'Black 2' and 'White 2' [3/15]

anyway, now I've had a minute to look at these closer, we now know that the set has 108 actual cards + any secret rares they put in the set and cofagrigus's first attack is called chuck.

the new dragons have tubes, suggesting some weird science stuff happening. I wonder if they'll be anything like bane from DC
 
I absolutely love the Cofagrigus art on the theme deck box. It's so freaky cool.

Looks like the set symbol for Dark Explorers is a hexagonal Darkness energy symbol. Very interesting.

And by the looks of that Umbreon...TOKIYA drew that; s/he also drew the Vaporeon and Flareon found in Undaunted and Call of Legends, so maybe we might be seeing the whole set soon? I'm looking forward to that if that's the case.

Oh, and those tubes are pretty funny and potentially insignificant.
 
Awesome Darkrai-EX and Zoroark are so awesome.... And the Venasaur pack art is sexy.

But wait... There's no Scrafty in Dark Rush or Dragon Blade/Blast! I hope that they make a good English-exclusive one.
 
Black Kyurem and White Kyurem look awesome. Dark Explorers theme decks look cool. I'm a little interested in Zoroark...
Excadrill pack is epic.

I hope I'm not the only one who's only just realized that the Japanese expansion names are all also attacks in the BW4+ cards.
 
Am I the only one to notice the blister pack with multiple packs in it (for Dark Explorers) has only two packs instead than the regular three? (Correct me if I'm wrong.)

The box art for B&W 2 look nice, better than just putting the original artwork on a game box with the logo on it.
The tubes on the Kyurem forms add more logic to this whole Reshiram and Kyurem/Zekrom and Kyurem fusion forms for Kyurem.
 
Two packs in the blister? *checks* Hmm, it appears you are right. However, instead of the 3rd pack, you have the Sandile evolution line all printed on "glassy holofoil paper".

Speaking of which, shouldn't it say "glossy" instead in the article?
 
Ugh why do they keep doing this to us. First Arcanine and now Zoroark? Why do they keep turning these previously holographic pokemon into non-holos when they come to the states? :angry

EDIT: and before anyone brings it up, yes I'm aware that these pre-release pics are never holo, but with the exception of the first B&W set all of the main Pokemon in each theme deck have been non-holos in the set, which means it will probably be the case with Dark Explorers too.

Glassy is the paper where it looks like broken glass. At least that's what I call it.
 
Woo! Computer-quality images of the box art. I can't wait until I get the time to make v.2 artwork featuring the tubes and those colorations.

And a huuuuge thanks to Gin for scanning the Black Kyurem art. Looking forward to the scan of White Kyurem tomorrow. :)

Is that like the foil pattern that was seen on that Charizard AR blister? I remember that looked like a bunch of randomly shaped shards.
If that's what you meant, then gotcha.
 
Aw, darn it, the boring Reshiram and Zekrom coins they've been releasing for everything. Woudl it kill them to have some variety? Maybe a Darkrai coin or a Zoroark coin with it?
