(2) Hoenn Collection Box, Treasure Tin [11/11]

I rather like Primal Kyogre's art, and the attack and growth thing are pretty cool too. Not sure if it's better than Blastoise's ability mind you, but we all know which card will be rotated out first. Definently know which jumbo I want if I only get one.

I personally think groudon has more potential. Since decks like donphan are increasingly popular right now, P-groudon might be what makes them even more top tierr. If you attach a float to it, it CANNOT be removed. That is unless it gets knocked out. Since we don't know the ruling for lysandre yet, you might be able to just primal evolve in the active and then max potion the damage off next turn. Then just spinning turn back to groudon to take the hit, simple as that. These pokemon might actually be worth the mega/primal rule because they are actually decent. Groudon can also take advantage of Korrina, which would be huge for grabbing the max potion. Maybe I'm wrong on this but would be interested in a way to counter groudon donphan (besides Virgen). But for the Virgen matchup, you could play a 2-2 trevenant or a few reshiram or something.

Kyogre goes like this, put kyogre EX out, add energy, do nothing. add energy then emga evolve, do nothing, add two energies if you have them if and 1HKO any basic they have up without ex defense, or wound an EX of higher caliber, lose 2 energy to bench. this requires you to both have a bench worth putting energies on and the energies to put. Blastoise doesn't work. the opponent knows exactly what you are doing and can play with that in mind. given the right card setup isn't god awful slow and can snowball, but not given the right cards its just as slow as anyone else. not terribad, not super duper good. HOWEVER, this wave of 30 to all benched EX on their side depending could be very bad for them, especially plasma like decks, since it lowers the health of any EX out to a 1HKO from Kyogre I.E 1shot stage2/stage1/basic/petty EX pokemon then kill any and all exs they bring up or other stage2/stage1/basic/PettyEX and you keep the chain going like that as long as the energy doesn't run out because you have 240HP and can do whatever you want, you could also muscle band or bolster your defenses with items or float stone Kyogre, but considering your opponent knows what you are doing and its incredibly easy to get rid of tools now that if you are going for the quickest setup possible, who knows how long that will last, theres and increase of cards that allow to mess up your opponent flow as well as a good chunk of cards that just say NOPE to exs. for Klang ecks and genesect its easy to say, this will be hard, but other decks since I have been running for awhile i'm not so sure how it will fair, havent really got to experience any furious fists centric decks so who knows.

These cards are very very beautiful and very strong, but they are slow... and I don't think they will have any Spirit Link card, because Primal Reversion is not Mega Evolution (even if the TCG rule is the same) and because these cards are already stronger than the other M-Evolutions, they don't need further help with these sky-high HP and these abilities etc.

P-Kyogre EX's ability is a little bit ambiguous but substantially says that if you are going to attach Energy from your hand to it, you can attach 2 Energies instead of 1.

That Primal Kyogre is insanely powerful.

Funny how both Groudon and Kyogre have weakness to grass, though.

I get the feeling Groudon is one of those cards that won't see much play initially, but will become ridiculous later down the line, either because of a partner being released or being immune to a ridiculously broken trainer card entering the format. (and rotation getting rid of its main counter)

Holy crap at Primal Clash having at LEAST 160 cards. That is easily the biggest English set ever if you don't include all of those Wizards sets that were artificially inflated by having two versions of every holo card.

Is the Pokemon Treasure Tin REALLY released this weekend? I checked numerous sites and it say Nov. 26th?

Can anyone confirm?

When I first looked... It is so broken. At least Kyogre has some type of draw back... but Groudon?? There should at least be deck discarding.

160 cards...

let me just elaborate...

160 CARDS IN POKEMON XY PRIMAL CLASH!!!

That is a lot! I thought XY was bad with card amounts, but this is ludicrous! Big sets can be a problem for people like me, because there will be WAY too many junk cards in this set, especially the Rares! Hopefully the set can at least have some decent artwork or a few Fully-Evolved Basic Pokemon as Commons and/or Uncommons. Furious Fists had Plusle and Minun as Commons, and Dedenne, the Hitmons, and Klefki as Uncommons. Phantom Forces had Skarmory, Alomomola, and Dedenne as Commons, and then Klefki, Girafarig, and Wobbuffet as Uncommons.

I really hope these don't have spirit links. Barrier is ridiculous, as it Growth. Will those "abilities" be turned off by Garbodor? There is going to have to be someway around that.

That Kyroge is great and with a spirit link card it could be the best card in the format. Yeah i said it. They could also be making two sets of 80 cards each that combine to make the one big set. One of the sets based around each primal evolution. Cards 1-80 are in one set and cards 81-160 are in another.

I was just throwing that out there as a possibilty. With 160 cards in the set we will get alot of cards that are not playable at all.

That's how the Japanese TCG sets are set up, with two smaller sets. But both sets start with 1 as the first card. I don't think the US has had two smaller sets (sub-sets in a way) for a set, unless I'm just wrong aha. But most likely, it'll be the full 160+ cards in the set.

As for the Kyogre and Groudon cards.... they look so great! Surprising how the English scans of them came out before the Japanese ones...unless I just missed those scans aha xP

Look at the bottom corner of the primal cards, and it says 160 exactly. I can't see them switching it now.

Primal Kyogre EX.

I'm out.

It was fun to know you, TCG.

Don't count it out just yet, Both Groudon and Kyogre both have very Glaring weaknesses (hope you get my pun) they are weak to grass. A muscle banded Genesect can knock either of them out in one hit and to eliminate the fear of Groudons Gaia Volcano and Focus sash you can soften up Groudon with an emerald slash, the game isn't over yet.

These look.....ok. Not sure what to think. They have the horrible thing where you have to end your turn to evolve.

I think the TCG is becoming a Weakness/Resistance game now. You have make multiple decks and use the best one when it comes to what your opponent is using.

Finally, someone who agrees with me!!!

I don't plan on purchasing these promo Treasure Lunch Boxes. While the Holofoil Promos are nice, I collect exclusively TCG cards, not any of the other stuff, like Plushes and T-Shirts.
