Seriously, the plot was horrible (and yes, most people will disagree with me on this), and the Johto Region was quite ugly too. Not to mention the Kanto Region, which was probably the worst part of the game. The only good things were the Pokémon, really.

They won't bring back Kanto if they have a Johto remake. Probably they'll have some new area, like they did with Sevvii Islands.

I think that it won't be that big. Usually when the officials say major, to us fans they are usually minor.
Maybe its not about pokemon at all. Or maybe Pokemon Sunday will have some special that airs on another day of the week.
 
Hmm, can anyone here actually verify that the calendar is real? There was some discussion on Serebii that it was quite likely a Photoshopped fake. First off, there's how, as pointed out, the bulk of that scan is from the Heatran movie poster, only with Heatran swapped for Arceus, which is a strange change. There's also how the Arceus wasn't adapted to the style of the calendar; it has a slightly different texture from the Johto starters and such. It really feels like someone just some artwork of Arceus, added a glow effect, and pasted it over Heatran or something, especially since no one seems to be paying any attention to Arceus (Ash seems to be looking more at the eclipse if anything and is having Pikachu appearing to be trying to attack Palkia) and Arceus itself only seems to be looking at the audience. Then there's the information on Arceus, NEP, and the Johto starters, which I believe was just taken directly from a section of the 12th movie site. The insert of Sheena is also odd, being pasted right over Palkia's arm, with no border or anything. So, I'd just like that cleared up, if possible.

As for the announcement, sounds good. Personally, I'm hoping for it being the 5th gen games, even though I think I'm quite in the minority when it comes to that.
 
Ok. so what I am still not understanding is the Johto starters involvement besides a hinted GSC remake... And maybe Pichu is Pikachu in the past?[never been confirmed as to what gender it is] or a relative? This sounds like it is going to have a very in-depth plot.

also. what if the announcment is that they are stopping pokemon =O that would be horrible.
 
I hope they still have 5th genaration Pokemon in some point. No new Pokemon=( is really bad!

Heerosferret owns the calendar, so no, it's not fake. In fact, this calendar is over 2 months old. It was only discovered recently.

Good to see this news make it to the Beach! :D

Anyways, I guess I'll save my favorite story for last and say what I said about the expected revelation first. I can't wait to see what it is, and I'm not sure which way they'll be going with this. It could be nothing (simply another game entirely, not even Pokémon), something neat (A new Stadium/PBR that allows usage of Platinum), or something amazing (the long-hoped-for GSC remakes)... Though, I know that's not saying anything new or unknown. xD

Now, the film plot update... It's not going to be entirely in the past, Gliscor (or, at least, that's not how I read it) - they couldn't have it fully in the past, as then Ash and Co. couldn't find out about it in the first place. ;D Nah, I know what you mean. I think they'll only spend a small time in the past, and maybe drag Damos into the future? ;0 Who knows. It's an odd twist, but it'll be interesting to see how it plays out.
 
I really want a re-make of Gold and Silver given the battery glitch that plagues the original games. However, I am going to remain reserved about this until the announcement is finally made. There have been many of references to Gold and Silver throughout this series of games and the last series, so there is a significant possibility that it is not a re-make, but something else that relates to Gold and Silver. Whenever there is something that is in high demand, we tend to blow up even the smallest evidence to large proportions.

However, if it is a re-make, it will be interesting to see what happens to it. I hope it is roughly as faithful to the original games as FrLg is to Pokémon Red and Blue. I may decide to import it as well.

We shall see.

I hope its a GS remake.. Overall they are probably my favorite of the Pokemon games.

I really want GS remakes because mine Pokemon Silver Corrupt its safefile after 1 day.
