My Sacred Guardian – JMR

My Sacred Guardian
He stands so tall
Among the leaves
Of Winter fall
And without a doubt
He holds so stout
A grin of passion
And satisfaction
Even in my mistakes
And heartbreaks

But there comes a time
When doubt fills my mind
And darkness clothes the winter
A seemingly forever hinder
But then the sunlight casts through
His eminent glow so true
And I fall back in his grip
A symbol of his Love Clasp

I remember the days I sat alone
I know how much I must’ve grown
It’s obvious this couldn’t have happened before
It’s apparent now, I truly adore
The one who guides and protects me
I am able, so very able, to see
That I place my whole heart in
The one I call, my Sacred Guardian

Secret Admirer

My heart pounds like drums,
When I see you,
And all I can do is twiddle my thumbs,
As I stare at your smile so true,
In hopes of catching the slightest glimpse,
That carries me through and through.

Now of course, every once in while,
My days fall through the cracks,
But somehow you always pick me up,
And then I see what my life lacks.
That someone to say the right thing,
And bring me right on back.

You are amazing in my eyes,
And sun n’ moon in my skies.
You make the stars come out at night,
And set the birds,
Into their grand flight.

But after all this,
And so much more,
I must admit,
In sadness adore,
You know me not,
In this empty world.
And you know me not,
In my dreams untold.

It saddens me,
My heart so true,
But ignites the flame,
And the thought of you,
The one thing that makes me pray so hard.
That I get caught by only you,
And you forever more want me to hold,
And you my darling, never let me go.

Thanks,

RE: My Poetry

Your poems are very good. :)
I really admire the one with the Sacred Guardian. The use of words are very good, and it sounds like it was written by a famous author. I'm writing poems in school, and you are very talented. I'm very impressed and you should keep writing more of them. ;)

RE: My Poetry

Pretty good. Being a published poet, I have to make 2-3 of these a week, which can be a pain. I made a poem very similar to the Secret Admirer Poem, although in the end it made a complete simile to the couple being the Sun and the Moon, quite pleasant. Very nice, I'd be glad to see some more of your poetry.

RE: My Poetry

Your poetry is just breath-taking, Very good. Id love to read more of your stuff.

RE: My Poetry

Thanks all of you. I really didn't expect a reaction like this... I believe those are my best poems but i'll post some of my other less worthy ones, IMO.

My Frozen World

Inside formed a winter wonderland,
Tundra of ice and shards of frost.
Cold chilling air, no life existent.
Walking alone in a blizzard snow storm,
Forever churning.

But then you came along,
And brought your summer light.
The burning sun ignited the skies,
And broke the ice within me.
Water flooded and land made visible.
Life sprouted and scourge of existence began,
Nourishing all ill ended life.

You melted my heart,
And defrosted my veins.
The sunlight forever more broken open in me.
No matter what eclipse foreshadows our world,
I will always know you.
Forever more, I will always love you.

The Destroyed

Those who still walk past them,
Say they’re lost and broken,
As they dart their noses in the air,
And never look back.

Like a giant pact,
They walk the nights,
Searching for themselves,
Watching for them to show up again,
Waiting for those to spot them,
Trying to find them again,
Wandering on and on.

But it’s obvious,
That in the view of the pompous,
They will never return,
And hold the ideals they’re said to discern,
But they keep trying,
Trying not to pay attention to those lying.

It is only them who can find the way,
And choose not to follow what they say,
But in the mid-morning of a dark moon twilight,
They still wonder on creating that dreadful sight,
Though it is said,
That one will eventually break the thread,
And carry on a new life,
Finally breaking free from that daunting scythe.

But for those who never find their way,
There is only one thing I can say…

And so they walk the nights,
Searching for themselves,
Watching for the heartbreakers,
Waiting for the thieves,
Trying to find their dreams,
And always looking back.

… They wander on and on.
