(2) Pokemon TCG Gameboy Game for 3DS Virtual Console, Fancy Pattern Vivillon [7/7]

I'm guessing TCG won't have multiplayer, which sucks. I'd have preferred a 3DS-enhanced release to a Virtual Console one. (That way you could get Card POP! via Streetpass or something, which would work incredibly well.) I have to admit, I didn't see this coming, mostly because the rules have changed significantly since the game came out. Still nice to see.

If the Virtual Console had multiplayer, they would actually release the main series games like R/B, etc. That's the one reason why they'll most likely never show up because they would want trading/battling with them.

That being said, I'm glad at least _something_ is coming out. But like SotS said, can't wait until next year at the latest (maybe even 2016 and later >_>) for it to come over here (if it even comes at all...). I don't think this means that anything related to the new cards is coming out necessarily, just the fact that it's a Pokemon game that they can release and not worry about. They have their online platform already and they're clearly focused on that.

Also, I'm glad to have the Fancy Vivillon now. I traded for a PokeBall one yesterday so I'm pretty happy having all of them.

dmaster out.

The main series games will probably never come to VC because A) they distract from the main releases -- i.e., why play RBY when you can get all of the Kanto Pokemon in XY -- and B) they would chip at the sales of any remakes Gamefreak plans on doing -- i.e., why release RSE on the VC when they have ORAS in the works?

We'll probably only ever see Pokemon spinoffs on the VC. A translation of TCG GB 2 would be super cool though...

This Pokemon TCG game was ahead of its time! For those who never played it, it had great A.I, a fantastic storyline, cool graphics and best of all, came with free promo cards! I sincerely hope the another Pokemon tcg game is in the works for the 3ds--it would be appreciated!

This makes me wonder if they will release the other Pokemon games. There is one way to get it for free though. I can't post how to here so if anyone wants to know PM me.:)

This is cool... but would be a lot cooler if it was a localization of PTCG2... I never actually finished that one because I didn't understand a thing of what I was playing... Sometimes I managed to proceed in the game but I've got stuck more often than not...

About Vivillon, I got 2 cause I have both games but I just do not got the patience to get one with a good nature... I was aiming for Modest or Timid, had to content myself with a Calm one for my main game... the other I don't even remember...
It's already time for them to let us use Synchronize for these gift pokémon... It's really annoying/frustrating to soft reset and never, never get want you want exactly...

Did the TCG Game Boy Color game not sell well the first time?
That's why we never got the 2nd one, and why they never bothered to make more?

I mean for years we have had an almost annual Yu-Gi-Oh game for GBA/DS.
Though it's been a couple years, we will get one for the 3DS soon.

Yu-Gi-Oh has way more cards than Pokemon by far (IIRC) so not sure why it would be hard to make a new game every year/couple years for Pokemon TCG.

It sold 1.5 million in the US so I'm not really sure why we never got the sequel. Maybe because it was too outdated in terms of the cards featured by the time it had come out (it didn't go past Rocket at the time when Generation II had already been released), and a lot of the cards were only released in Japan.
