No mention of an event Pokemon this year, if there isn't one that's a tad disappointing. Hopefully there'll be more things for people to do after they lose than in previous years.

I assume Victini isn't allowed in VGC, but I can't find any official rulings... Does anybody know?

It isn't allowed. I really wish they could have something more in the middle of the country. There is never anything by MN for VGC.

The only thing close to NC is Atlanta, and I really don't feel like driving 250 miles to be late and miss sign-ups. :/

My son will be sad too. Nothing within 2000 miles, or whatever distance Dallas is from MN. Do they think that midwesterners don't play the video game?

Hmmm...the box looks pretty interesting. I don't care too much for the card artwork though...as a collector they seem like boring looking cards. :/

Those three Final starter evolution cards are pretty good, also like Embroar abilities name, "Inferno Fandango" lol awesome..

All are really usable in my opinion.

That deckbox is absolutely sick.

And I love the Ability Starters. Some of the best cards out of the set.

dmaster out.

I asked Mike why there isn't any VGC anywhere remotely close to MN. Hopefully I will have an answer for that. In other news, I just filled out my application to work at VGC Nationals.

The fact that they've completely ignored the midwest in terms of VGC locations is mind boggling.

Mind boggling indeed, but if you ran a tournament that doesn't really net you any gain (TCG makes people buy packs, VG... makes people use the games they already own), what would you do? Put one in the middle of Wyoming? No, you'd pick the most populated cities/states in the U.S., and/or popular places in general. DC, NJ (gotta get them New Yorkers), CA (of course), WA (right near the headquarters, naturally), TX (populated enough, but also to there so that every single midwesterner is left out), and GA (there so that the south isn't left out, and I think that some sort of headquarters are there). Maybe if they started running $5 entry fees, they could make enough to run others. But of course, they're always going to tout that entry is free.

What's MIND BOGGLING and complete and total BS is that ONCE AGAIN, THERE'S FEWER THAN LAST YEAR!!!

There better be a Last Chance VGC Qualifier... It's COMPLETE and TOTAL BS if there ISN'T!

America got fucked over REALLY bad this year on the VGCs. only 6? REALLY?! Selling millions of copies of the game. Come on, PUSA, you can do WAY better than that. Also, LOLz @ Sky Drop being banned! XD

As a Midwesterner myself since I live in Missouri I feel that with purposely leaving out locations for VGC's this year it does offend me somewhat but what Chariblaze mentioned it is "somewhat" understandable. It's a business move afterall, as for Sky Drop being banned well there's a broken glitch associated with it I can explain later I guess.

What I really dislike about this years VGC's is that it's Single Elimination instead of Swiss. My area who runs DS Tournaments for Pokemon has been doing Swiss Rounds instead of Single Elimination and I don't see a point in making it Single Elimination just to ruin the fun for players who don't make the top cut. What's the point of making the tournament shorter If they can't play all their rounds? That's just stupid.
