(2) XY TCG Set, XY Beginning Set [10/15]

Looks like we will get the set at almost same time after all...

Blastoise is kinda good for going with Blastoise/Keldeo(you don't say) especially with this unforseen mega evos, I would expect stronger attacks take more energy , are we going to see the return of 5 energy maybe 6 energy attacks. I also like the balance of mega evolving ending the turn, giving your opponent a chance to kill you before you get to hot. As I said in the earlier thread it seems they are keeping the power creep but making it slower. Once again Yveltal is probably the most viable out of those 4 cards. Amazing ART, please give me das fullarts. The images on the packs leave something to be desired but the borders look fresh and cool. Also yay for big sets(cry sum moar collectors).
I know some people are crying in the feedle position right now but I started with Boundaries crossed and managed to have a lot of fun playing the game, so I dont see how this will be any different, I'm just excited for new things in general.
One thing I forgot to mention, Mega Evos = 3 Prize Cards?

Yveltal's Face reminds me off
I'm sort of surprised Yveltal's hasn't really got any big damage dealing moves, considering it's the destruction Pokémon, however the card design's neat. I just wish its mouth was closed. Something looks off about it. To be honest, these Mega Pokémon cards are just going to be far too powerful. I mean, more HP and attack power than EX? I mean, unless there's a really big hitch to it other than not attacking after you've Mega evolved, then this is a little too much. I do love the new starter Pokémon cards and their evolutions. Greninja, Chesnaught and Delphox look super awesome and their stats aren't too shabby either.
Wow Legendary Treasures' pre-release hasn't even happened yet and we're already seeing scans of cards and packs of the next set translated.
I am fairly certain that some of the beginning set cards will make it into the kalos starter set decks released in November 8. The standard version shows one card through a window, while the deluxe version shows 3 cards.
I do hope TPCi uses Chesnaught, Delphox, and Greninja as the face cards, and make them holo, rather than Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie, despite the decks being called the Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie decks.
I wonder if the first XY set will have theme decks? It would be sad for me if set associated theme decks were discontinued.

If the starter cards are indeed holo. then maybe the new holo pattern is rays of sun, that would be cool.
Also its weird for the starter decks chespin and fennekin have special little silouhettes with the number of the card relating to the deck, meanwhile froakies catrds all just have froakie and no numbers.

I hope you're not allowed to evolve on the first turn with the Mega's, otherwise there's no penalty for Mega Evolving on the first turn going first. Also, "more HP and more damage"? How much higher can they get? Place your bets now; how much HP are Mega Evolutions going to have? 200? 250? 300?
Yeah, I noticed that too. They also changed the wording on Xerneas EX's Break Through (look at Darkrai EX) and Yveltal EX's Evil Ball (look at Mewtwo EX). Are these how the attacks are worded in Japan? If so, this may be a way to cut translation costs and time down a bit, since they have to release the cards at the same time now.

I wish the Mega evolution would take up a whole turn. Just have the draw phase.
That's a flaw I feel in the tcg, typing really doesn't mean anything in the game. Only examples I can think of are fire discarding energy and steel milling cards.Bisharp said:
