YEAAAAAAAAAAA

I actually tought about that in the moment I read Venusaur-EX, I even compared it with Entei-EX and confirmed it... XDD Interesting turn of events, isn't it? With wording changes, some play-wise changes MIGHT come along... Right?

So I wasn't the only one to notice the wording (not that I expected to, because I know there are some very observant people here on PB :p).
I can't wait to see how they're going to represent Charizard (mega X and Y), except I'm pretty sure the Megas are going to be some every great form of power creep =_=
Everything does seem very similar to BW so far except for megas (which seem like the stage 1 equivalent of EXs as has been mentioned), so unless they do something like they did with introducing EXs partway into BW, then this set isn't really going to catch my attention. The art is nice though, and I like the pink for the fairies ( ^ w ^ )
Also the '6+' on the pack art seems new, partly because it stands out a lot for some reason.

Lol, the new features in the XY series is so unoriginal.

First, fairy type. No different, gameplay wise, than Grass, Fire, Water, Lightning, Psychic, Fighting, Darkness, and Metal. Hoping Fairies get their own gameplay features unique to them.

Second, Mega evolutions. No different, gameplay wise, to evolutions, except you can't attack when you first evolve it. Why not just use a separate card in order to call out the mega evolutions?

Heck, even Level X was no different from evolutions, except the difference was that you can use the pre Level X's attacks. I feel like there should be some fun gameplay mechanics for Pokemon TCG. Magic has new gameplay mechanics each year, and Yugioh sort of have new stuff each series, like Synchros and xyz. I don't know what is so unique about the XY series, compared to previous series.

Can anybody tell me anything that is new regarding the XY series, because I certainly can't find anything new. Everything is just a reskin of something that already exists.

...annnnd then proceeds to not agree on rulings that were done for a card or rule conflicting rulings that contradict each other as new cards come out to break the game further (for example Shrink cough cough). Magic as far as I know, builds on the mechanics they already have. Level X's maybe they weren't as popular and seem more complex to do for little kids, and you'd complain if they "reskined" level X as Mega Evolution anyways. Nothing they do can please "you guys" (and I say this in general now, not aimed at "you" specifically). Not that kids can't get ahold of more complex strategies but thsi is the direction their going in, to make things easier to pick up.

We don't know whats new in X/Y so its too early to blast it...

Well, it's clear that CG art and big Basics are here to stay.

Though I'm not one to complain anyway. There are a lot of others who don't mind doing that for me. :p

Do I get paid for it?

About the no new mechanics complaints, if they made it like Gen V was a new beginning, then it's like Gen I, and if anyone remembers, there were no real differences between Gen I and Gen II Tcg mechanics. Just a thought.

this new mega level cards will be cancer to this game.

Cancer that we don't know what it will do...hmmm...

I know I'm not willing to take a chance on it. I can't speak for the rest of you, though.

You know, I honestly can't decide what TCG meta was worse - Gen 5's or Gen 1's. They were both pretty horrible.

I'm really interested to see how it will turn to an advantage to end your turn playing a card to evolve an EX Pokemon. Games seem like they're gonna be short. I almost feel that Life Dew shouldn't be an Ace Spec.
