2014 Summer Break Battle Festival!
Welcome to the 2014 Summer Break Battle Festival! Where anyone can jump in and enjoy the exciting battles!
June 25th - July 9th
Your goal will be to collect as many points as possible. For each victory you earn, you obtain one point. Losses do not count or subtract points! However, you can only challenge each participant a maximum of 3 times. The person with the most points at the end of the festival will be the winner!
Festival Overview & Battle Format
- The Battle Festival begins on Wednesday, June 25th, once it begins, everyone has two weeks to battle their heart's out to earn as many points as possible!
- The Battle Format for this festival is Singles!
Species Clause
- You may not have two Pokémon on your team with the same National Pokédex number.
Legal Hidden Ability Clause
- You may not use a Pokémon's Hidden Ability if it has not been released.
Banned Pokémon
- Pokémon in this list are not allowed to be on your team. These Pokémon are: Arceus, Palkia, Dialga, Giratina (both Formes), Blaziken, Darkrai, Deoxys, Genesect, Groudon, Kyogre, Lugia, Ho-oh, Mewtwo, Rayquaza, Reshiram, Sky-Form Shaymin, Xerneas, Yveltal, White Kyurem and Zekrom.
Banned Items
- The items Soul Dew, Kangaskhanite, Lucarionite and Gengarite may not be present on any Pokémon.
Sleep Clause
- You may not put two of your opponent's Pokemon to sleep simultaneously.
-- Self-inflicted sleep via Rest or Effect Spore does not trigger this clause.
-- Yawn may not be used to pseudo-haze if Sleep Clause has triggered.
Evasion Clause
- You may not use any items (such as BrightPowder), moves (such as Acupressure), or abilities (such as Sand Veil) which increase a Pokemon's evasion.
Freeze Clause
- You may not freeze two of your opponent's Pokemon simultaneously.
OHKO Clause
- The moves Fissure, Guillotine, Horn Drill, and Sheer Cold may not be present on any Pokemon.
Suicide Clause
- If both players are down to one Pokémon each, you are not allowed to use a move that KOs both Pokémon to force a tie.
Moody Clause
- The ability Moody may not be present on any Pokemon.
Endless Battle Clause
- All combinations of moves and items that force endless battles are banned.

How to Participate:
- You must have access to Pokémon X or Y as these Wi-Fi battles will take place in the in-game’s PSS.
- You must register a Battle Card with your 3DS friend code. (below)
- If your Battle Card is registered in the Wi-Fi Battle Zone, you're automatically registered for this festival! - Contact a registered participant, challenge them to battle(s), and post who won.
- Please save your Battle Videos in case of any misunderstandings.
