(3) DE Cards + Prerelease Goodies, July's Japanese Sets, Forces of Nature [4/17]

Let's see...
I need that Kyogre since I collect them.
I need Darkrai EX, Dark Claw, and Dark Patch for my Dark deck.

Compounded with the new cards I need from Avacyn Restored (Magic: The Gathering), and the fact that it and Darkness Explorers will be released at the same time, my wallet is going to be hit HARD in May.

Tourneys are going to be really funny now.

As for Krookodile? Bombast is a really cool attack name; it goes along the lines of Krookoroll. It's not all that good, but Krookodile so far have had a reputation of being pretty cool in the TCG, and this is no exception.

The Tornadus and Thundurus looks like they're sporting pre-BW reverse foil; that actually looks pretty nifty.

Groudon EX and Volcarona promo do want.

...When I saw the Sableye I got confused because I thought the translation on Beach said Junk Hand. I looked back at the scan. It is actually Junk Hunt. All that was made was a small little error (reading a ト as a ド instead).

Not completely true. Call of Legends had some really nice artwork in the set, among other things.
 
2 {R} Promos in a row? Eh... Kinda disapointing.I was kinda hoping for a cooler promo that was DARK TYPE like Umbreon or Zoroark. You know, something of that sort. But NOOOOO. We had to have another FIRE TYPE. The deckbox is pretty awesome looking though. (Even though it's still the stardard park art, still. :p)

Why is everyone (Except only a few...) hating on Volt Bolt's name? I think it's funny. XD Go ahead, say it outloud. Like, kinda fast. In the time that it takes for you to say DERP. See? It's pretty cool. :p

Why are Kyogre and Groudon's big attack name's so... Lame?
I mean, DUAL SPLASH? That's the same thing that came from a sea horse. :p And Groudon's Giant Claw? You'd expect a better name for an attack that belongs to a Pokemon that CREATED CONTINENTS. Something like, Ultimate Claw Of Epic Destruction. There. That's MUCH better. And Kyogre's could be something like...
Tsunami Of Mass... Uh... Darn, I already used Destuction, and I can't think of another word. ]( Oh well. Basically, Lame attack names for K&G. 'Nuff said.

Kyrogre and Groundon...The pokemon that supposedly created the land and water of the pokemon world, and their attacks are:
Splash Turn, Dual Splash, Tromp, and Giant Claw?

How about:
Splash Turn = Wash Out
Dual Splash = Pouring Tsunami
Tromp = Slashing Claw
Giant Claw = Destruction Claw

So are we getting 2 different Umbreon cards in this set? Cool :cool:
 
anyone else thinking about a non-attack damage deck with Volcarona, Entei, and both Chandelures?
 
Volcarona+ Arcanine. Better.

Also, i can see a cool spread deck with kyogre EX, kyurem NV, and darkrai/cresselia legend being played to kill all those pesky eelektrik.

True, but Kyrogre wont see much play, Raikou can OHKO it easily.
Has everyone forgotten that we will be getting Espeon? That ability will break the game.

Ability: Solar Miracle
As long as this Pokemon is in play, prevent all effects of your opponent’s Pokemon’s attacks done to any of your Pokemon with Energy attached to them.
 
...Espeon doesn't block damage, you DO realize that?

also, We'll have to wait and see with the english release, but it will probably not include damage as it would be too broken.

No. When they want to include damage, they specifically say "Prevent all effects of attacks, including damage, done to...".
 
I'm very dissatisfied if they're going to start making prerelease cards into actual Black Star promos that have new artwork and stuff from now on. Mostly because the closest league to me is 40 miles away... :/

Espeon is basically an Unown G for any of your Pokemon with Energy attached.
 
Also the damage is not in any way an effect of the attack; rather they are two separate things and Espeon only blocks the effects. This also doesn't mean Espeon defends against Pokemon whose damage outputs is dependent on their text either such as Magnezone Prime or Rayquaza.
