(3) Legends Awakened Stark Mountain, Shaymin Movie Ending Clip, First Official Platinum Trailer [7/2

Stark Mountain is win. Typhlosion's power recover energies to bench, move them to active, kill. Maybe using 2 Ty's and a GE Blaziken, constantly discarding 2 to snipe for 80. Dunno >=).

There is no limit to how many legendary Pokemon exist (of a particular species). Remember how there were several Celebi's in the 4th movie?
Which is pretty ridiculous. If they are legendary, there cant be more than one. They cant breed, so how did so many appear? One is ok, because its a legend and all. But a swarm? Think about a swarm of Raikou's, a swarm of Mew's, a swarm of Articuno's. its ridiculous.

The only reason they can't breed in the games is so they aren't as easy to obtain. If legendaries did exist, let alone Pokemon, of course most of them would be able to breed. How would they continue their populations? That's why the anime is more realistic than the games (baby Lugia).

Wow, that made a lot of sense WPM, now I understand it. Thank you.

Stark's Mountain can definately help out in combos with Fire Pokemon discarding Energy and such. :]

dmaster out.

in pokemon, its important to remember that movies =/= anime, anime =/= game, and nothing =/= anything. each pokemon entity is seperate and has different rules, even for the same pokemon. even in the games there are different rules - electric attacks still hit ground types in mystery dungeon, for example.

and we've known for a long time the anime tends to follow the game's plot, but the movies are not canon to anything besides eachother (with the exception of mewtwo).

but yeah. WPM explained the breeding/legenday thing really well. good show :D

If they ARE going to be giving out a Giratina or Shaymin stylus with the purchase of Platinum, at least we won't have store owners trying to swindle people by insisting they have to get "both versions" in order to get a stylus like what I saw happening with Diamond/Pearl.

Wow, The torn world animations look cool.
It's amazing what they can pull off with these games.

Wow I can't believe you compared it to a Miyazaki film. There is no comparison, Ghibli films are absolutely top art, top animation, The bar is truely set by a ghibli film. The new Ponyo film was HAND DRAWN with PENCILS, no other major studio does that anymore. Pokemon is just another anime film, sure its pretty but there are a dozen other animes with the same amazing beauty right now. Ghibli is the master studio, Pokemon is great, but it isn't as good as a Ghibli film. Not by a long-shot.

I've never seen a Ghibli film with backgrounds as detailed as the few shots I have seen of Shaymin. The Shaymin film's backgrounds almost look like photos, and that's hardly the case with any of Miyazaki's films (you can always tell they are drawn). Of course Ghibli sets the bar every time, but I think this time Pokemon finally beat them (at least in SOME respects). That might not be the case with the cel animation, but that's because Pokemon by design has simpler character designs (not all wrinkly like old Sophie). Though you have to admit, a lot of Ghibli's characters are almost as basic as Pokemon's, especially the eyes, which are almost always black and identical.

From what I've seen with Ponyo, the animation isn't much of an upgrade just because they've used hand-drawn animation, but I haven't seen enough of it to judge. With those few shots they have released, the coloring almost looks like it was done on the computer.

for the record, guys, i've said the art in shaymin was really, really good, but i never compared it to a ghibli film or said it was better than a ghibli film XD i dont know where that is coming from. i have only just seen ponyo today, and it was really spectacular (art wise, storywise is was weird as hell o_O and the shaymin movie is less for kids than ponyo was!).

but yeah, although this time the movie had wonderful artwork, i wouldn't compare it to a ghibli film. they are two different entities.

And now I was sent another new video, but again I cannot find the source! I saw it on PokeBip when trying to find the source of the video posted earlier today, but they are not even the original source.
It's a French who lives in Japan, Dragon_red, and he owns a blog, Poketerra.
