(3) PETA and Pokemon, Pokemon League Badge Case, Pokemon Pro Dual Deck Box [10/10]

RE: (3) PETA and Pokemon

Had some fun with the characters who didn't appear in the PETA thing...

This PETA thing disgusts me. They should be attacked for copyright infringement. If the government ever wanted to get someone for that now is the time. Anyone else remember the preacher giving a sermon against Pokemon that popped up on the homepage here a long time ago? This somehow reminds me of that.

RE: (3) PETA and Pokemon, Pokemon League Badge Case, Pokemon Pro Dual DeckBox [10/10]

I think the PETA game was pretty fun tbh. Whatever they attacking the franchise or not it doesn't really bothering me. I think they fighting for something good, even thought I'm a big meat-lover, but they can be a bit to extreme sometimes which is probably the wrong way to go if you want people to listen to you :/

Edit: Also if you check out the credits in the end they even list two people as "PETA's pokemon expert" xD

RE: (3) PETA and Pokemon

My only concern is why Cheren has alcohol; he clearly isn't 21.
Other than that, I see no problem with this flash; it's so bad that it's great.

In case anyone was wondering what the things were on the top of the badge case, those are for your DS/3DS game cards. You can tell because of the little nub for the 3DS games, and the general size of it.

I would assume there is two for your Black 2 and White 2 games.

RE (3) PETA and Pokemon, Pokemon League Badge Case, Pokemon Pro Dual Deck Box [10/10]

I remember there was this virtual game where you are supposed to breed some dog, sort of like tamagotchi, or some thing like that, but it was a flash game. What my cousin did, was that he injected that dog with tons of medicine (in order to cure sickness), and it died from overdose.

Hey, think of it this way. At least we're not sending virtual Ponytas to the glue factory.

PETA; showing the other terrorists how its done!

Animal "rights" has proven itself a smokescreen over the years; if you oppose animal cruelty, find an organization that doesn't euthanize 95% of the animals it "rescues". PETA exists to trample on the rights of humans, by equating us to any and all "animals". The more they succeed at this, the more they strip the rights away from humans... which suits those behind the organization just fine.

In short, the only reason Team Plasma seems more hypocritical than PETA is that PETA does not, to my knowledge, regularly sic attack dogs on people. Team Plasma does have better fashion sense, though.

These Titles Are Ridiculous.... Mine is Somewhat Good

The games were really entertaining.

I legitly enjoyed them.

I really didn't pay attention to the PETA stuff, I just enjoyed it. :D

I can't take PETA seriously at all after taking a class where the students had to dissect their ads. They just want attention, and hope some people react in their favor. Problem is, most people just dismiss or laugh at their message because it's so extreme. Advocating for vegetarianism or against animal cruelty is fine, but the way they do it makes it laughable. It actually hurts the cause if you ask me.

I doubt Nintendo is happy to see them using so much borrowed from their games.

I was surprised at the effort put into the PETA game to be honest. The went so far as to make blanks of the cards, got typing of the Pokémon right...someone did at least a LITTLE bit of research. I don't agree with it, but its nothing to get upset over. I find the whole thing slightly amusing.

The badge case seems awesome. Can't wait to see pictures of what it'll look like in person.

Rumor has it Nintendo is planning to sue because of the use of copyrighted names in such a manner. It violates the parody clause.

Plus, it's slander.

I've been saying that for days and it wouldn't surprise me either. Things like South Park's Chinpokomon parody are one thing, but PETA's game took it too far.

RE (3) PETA and Pokemon, Pokemon League Badge Case, Pokemon Pro Dual Deck Box [10/10]

Sorry, but PETA isn't as funny as cracked or mad magazine where they had Puke-mon cards. They have the likes of "Psycho duck", "Squirtsle", "Blastnoise", "Mr. Ma'am", "Pik-n-chew", "Idgeot", "Meowch", "Jigglytush", "Jarjarmander", and "Geodud".

They also have Trainer: Billy Bunk, and Energy: Steroids.

/me facepaws
PETA is literally on it's last straw. I'm gonna go find them and stuff is going to go DOWN. I appreciate what they're trying to do, but I feel this is going a bit too far.

I wouldn't surprised if they got sued.

Anyways their cause is a little misguided, because theyre basically telling kids that theyre making animal cruelty okay (when even in the show its shown that Pokemon fight in the wild, so its not really a forced thing).

Reply

...exactly what aspect of Pokemon bonding did the PETA individuals had not completely grasped?

RE:

I notice some people seem to not notice that they're attacking pokemon, not conveying that message.

It's been said many times but: This is just sick and I'm actually rather disappointed to see some people have no problem with it. :'<

RE: PETA and Pokemon, Pokemon League Badge Case, Pokemon Pro Dual Deck Box [10/10]

Wow... just wow. Yeah, I'm for animal rights and all that, but this is just ridiculous. I'm not sure if PETA was attacking pokemon or trying to send a message, but this is just plain immature. I expect this from bored 9 year olds who like to make crappy youtube videos. This is just pathetic. I'm pretty disappointed that a legitimate organization would make such a stupid parody like this. I mean, it's a childrens game, not some sadistic message that teaches kids to abuse animals. I mean come on, get some class PETA...

Oh yeah, badge cases FTW!

err....being vegan, loving animals my whole life, and wanting to work in professional animal care, i never thought that pokemon was super violent to where it would teach kids animal violence. Maybe they actually havnt played the game before or seen the show with all of those corny friendship speeches? xD I dont think they hate pokemon or anything, its ok ppl! PETA people can be really silly like that, i just pardon their extremes sometimes. :p That parody game is quite hilarious! LOL ash's face! x'D

oooooooo free badge case for me!??? Tried to find out how to get one on pokemon.com, cant find a link where to order it... T-T *hopes my league prof has some later*
