(3) Ten 'Next Destinies' Cards, Movie 15 News, Arceus Distribution [12/13]

Enough with the terrible 3D art already! SOMEONE CALL THE ARTISTS PLEASE.

Admittedly, they look much better in holo form if you've seen the japanese versions. And even though some of the 3d art has been questionable for the B&W cards, I think most of the holos should have 3d art. Save flat, regular illustrations for commons and uncommons.

Redid the speculation list.... Oh joy.

3D artwork would be fine if most of it didn't look like bad mid-90's CGI. Unfortunately, the 3D artists in the Pokemon TCG haven't really gotten above that level yet, so I'd much rather see drawn artwork used in anything and everything. 5ban is probably the best of a bad lot though IMO, and if he/she/they just worked on doing something besides bad virtual reality background patterns, I would be okay with their work.

I'm pretty glad Ditto didn't win this one. I absolutely loathe vote-stuffing, and it would've made me so frustrated if it actually managed to prevail. I don't know if there was much vote-stuffing, if any, for Arceus though.

Also, my favorite illustration there is of Beartic. The way the fur interacts with the water there, and the way the light shines through it, looks beautiful. And, of course, it depicts what polar bears tend to do, which is swimming at the water surface.

Kinda like Cofagrius's "Damagriiigus", but still not the same.

I personally found "Damagriiigus" funnier, as it's hard to say with a straight face. Well, unless you lack a sense of humor.

Sadly I'm opposite on the voting.
I would have loved to have that Ditto, or a Mudkip.

but honestly Deoxys could have been chosen. Arceus is one of the most pointless choices.

I was just looking at Kyurem-EX again, and I can't figure out the rarity. The rare star is holographic (usually meaning ultra rare) but it is not put at the end of the set. Maybe the regular EXs will only be holo rares (pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease) but I doubt it. Probably going to be a Prime/Legend sort of a thing.

Everything is looking sweet! I can't wait for the next movie, since I the Trio is my favorite in the whole Pokemon series!

I agree. The Musketeers are the best trio! Can't wait to see Cobalion!
TacoTurtle, it seems they are like holos, in Japan they were like this to. I think the silver star is just to be shiny like the rest of the card. There are already full arts, so we don't need all that many ultra rares. The Prime/Legend was because there was a lack of legend cards (there were 4 in most English sets, but it takes to halfs to make one, so that reduces the legends by half).

Oh? I would have thought that you'd like the Tao trio the best, since it has Zekrom in it.

I ment out of all secondary trios (legendary birds, legendary beasts, legendary golems, legendary lake gaurdians, legendary musketeers). If you count Tao, Creation, and all that, my favorite would be Tao. I usualy think of them as version mascots.

Yeah, we're wrong, you put the cards back on top of your deck. I think I purposefully edited it to "bottom" a while ago to see if anyone would steal our translations and then forgot to put it back.

I'd also like to take a minute to point this out:
http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Musharna_%28Psycho_Drive_30%29

Thanks Bulbapedia for once again proving you steal most of your card translations from us.

Speaking of copying....does this seem familiar? something that WPM would right....oh, wait, WPM did write it!

Okay translations I can understand, but that just makes me laugh.
bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Is there no low to which they will not stoop?

Glinting Claw, hmm? Interesting. At least 6Prizes is legit.

Movie 15 plot details revealed! Not much, but I read this on Seerebii, so credit goes there (considering the lack of credit they give, I don't really need to credit them): Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion battled Kyurem in a mine in a mountain long ago, wich created an ice dragon gate so they could battle on the other side. However, in the present, Kyurem has returned and the Sacred Swordsmen are back to take him on.

Not very clear, but that's all of it. I wonder what this "ice dragon gate" is, and why Kyurem has returned.
Also, Serebii.net has posted a larger image of the poster in Corocoro. This one is much more clear because it's not from the page of a book:Kyurem VS The Sacred Swordsmen Serebii.net
It seems the three beams the Sacred Swordsmen are blasting at Kyurem cross, but nothing seems to be happening when they touch. Kyurem is huge compared to the three, and Kyurem looks amazing!

And finally, on the subject of credit, I don't mean to offend you, but it would be much appriciated if you give credit to members who bring news to you through the forums. I had originaly posted of the vote for you favorite Pokemon event in the US, but i wasn't credited. I also saw another member post about Reshiram-EX, Mewtwo-EX,and Zekrom-EX, they weren't credited. You don't have to credit members, but we'd appriciate it! :D

Normally WPM already has the news before people post it on the forums, as far as I know. He's fairly busy, so he can only post stories when he gets the chance (which is sometimes after people make threads about the news he's already got but hasn't had a chance to post). When he does get a story from someone on the forums, he does credit them. (There have been instances in the past where he's credited people on the forums, so future instances would be no different.) Just because someone posts about a news story on the forums before WPM has a chance to post it on the main site doesn't mean he got the news from the person on the forums.

I know this first-hand, as it occurred when I first joined the forums. I found some new TCG images WPM hadn't posted yet and made a post about it on the forums. He later posted a news story about the images with even more details and images than even I'd found, and he let me know he'd had the information for a while and simply never had the time to post it.

When I posted about the vote for your favorite Pokemon event, I noticed WPM hadn't posted anything about it for a few days. I posted a comment on his profile about it, and the next day, it was on the site's main page.

You think too highly of yourself, Zekrom Black. I know about news stories 70% of the time before the general population ever does. As Xous explained in perfect detail, I usually just don't have time to post them right away. If someone does tell me about something I do not know about, I credit them; I have no reason not to, and if you check the front page of the site right now, you'll see credits going to a lot of people for a lot of things. Almost anytime I'm on my laptop, whether it be in class or walking to the bathroom (and IN the bathroom :D), I am constantly checking for news. I don't think a single day has gone by in the past eight years where I have not checked for news, spare a few rare exceptions for extreme circumstances in my life. If you even read my news stories from this week, you'll even see that I mentioned twice that my stories were late because I did not have time to post them. I love it when people tell me I HAVE to credit them for things I've known about for days - do you think we'd even be popular for news if most of the time people were giving me the heads ups?

Also lol. I can't remember the last time I checked my profile. Was probably over two weeks ago.

My friend is stoked for kyurem.
So, Arceus won. :(
And movie looks awesome, can't wait for some more info.

Attack/Ability names have honestly started to amuse me.

Sporprise
Damagriiigus
EVERYONE EXPLODE NOW
DarMAXitan

Oh, and now that I take a closer look at Articuno's and Moltres's artwork, they don't look like Ryo Ueda's drawings at all :[
