I've been thinking about getting a 360 but idk which one is better.
Please post why and stuff =P

Well, depends on what you are going to be using it for. If you are going to be playing a lot, downloading stuff and whatnot, get the Elite. The Elite comes with the hard drive and has HDMI connections. The arcade does not, but comes withs flash memory [I think its 512 MB], so if you plan just play it not that much, get the Arcade. Also, the money difference is there too. Elites are more expensive, due to the hard drive.

If I recall correctly, the arcade doesn't come with a external hard drive at all. That means you have barely any memory, you have to buy extra memory if you want to take your data to a friend's house, and you don't get the free stuff you get with the elite purchase. The elite is worth the extra IMO.

Ok so if you add up all the cost you get with the elite.
The system is around 200 dollars persay, the headset is 20 dollars, the hard drive is liek 150 dollars, the two games are around 20 dollars each (40 bucks). You would spend over 400 dollars if you bought the arcade just to get all that stuff.
Where the elite is 300 bucks. So get the elite it will say you a lot of money.

The arcade Xbox 360 doesn't come with an external hard-drive. The Elite Xbox 360 does come with a external hard-drive. If your planning to get a cheaper kind than I would go for the Arcade. If money is not a problem than your better off getting an Elite. A Xbox hard-drive which has 20 GB, would cost about $117.99. On top of the arcade which would come up to ~$316.99. Which would mean that Elite would be less expensive. Elite comes with a hard-disk which contains 120 GB. Which is much better than a 20 GB hard-drive that costs $117.99. The 120GB Elite 2009 Holiday Bundle which is $298.99, including Lego Batman and Pure would be the better buy instead of getting an arcade Xbox 360. An Arcade Xbox 360 costs less, but it doesn't contain an external hard-drive. It would come up to a lot of money if you just get those two. But Elite 2009 Holiday Bundle is better because your getting a lot of hard-drive (120GB) and your also getting two games. Which is great! I would think that the Elite Version gives the costumer the better deal than the Arcade one.

You do know you can get a 60gb hard drive for 100 dollars right?

But the Arcade is white, thus making it far more superior. ;O

Just kidding. Lol. I kinda wish they didn't nuke the original XBox360s :/

you could always get a pro refurbed (by Microsoft) for the same price as an arcade and it comes with an HDD but it is only 20GB. Personally i dont think a MS refurbed 360 wouldn't do too bad seeing as I have owned for 2 years now and havent had a single problem with it. Still its based on preference, that would be mine if i could have a choice. Seriously though go for the elite only if you know youre gonna hardcore it up like i mean atleast 10+ hours weekly. If not the arcade has a built in mem that should suffice in the mean time while you get a HDD. Plus the live pack HDD comes with a 3 month and a headset. It only retails at 89.99, and is more than enough HDD space. Plus you need to do your homework Ice cause 20 gb HD over $100? okay well than argue with my link http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=72747

Not trying to be mean just trying to give an informed point of view, i personally believe going arcade than live pack hard drive is cheaper and a better deal. You get a the hard drive a headset and a 3 month on top of the 3 free one months on the system already. Do what you wish im just saying regardless its the same thing. Extra Hard drive space is dumb too unless youre saving whole movies.

but you already get the headset with the elite and the big hard drive. Sure you don't get the 3 free months.
But the elite comes with two games. Extra hard drive space isn't dumb, better than having too few of space.

When I had my 360 before it was stolen, I only had the arcade due to price being so much cheaper. And it worked just fine with me. It seems like X-Boxes just never run outta memory. My original X-Box is still so open with available memory.
