Which color 3DS?

I'm getting blue for sure. Aqua Blue is almost my favorite color (Cerulean Blue is), so not changing my mind any time.
However, I'm not getting it at launch. SSF4, one of my favorite games is there, but I'll wait to see what's said about it. If lag kills the online, I'm not buying it. If it doesn't, I'll buy it faster than any of you.

Here's a list of every 3DS game in development.

I'll wait for at least 7 of these games to come out before I buy a 3DS:

Animal Crossing, Starfox, MGS, Mario kart, Paper Mario, OoT, a Bomberman game, a Gundam game, a Dragon Quest game, or a Ninja Gaiden game.

...because I need to see my options. And reviews (not IGN reviews, they aren't very good. They gave HGSS a lower score because it's a sequel -_-).

Whoahhhhhh. Just looked at Best Buys website and they listed it as...$249. I made sure I was in the Canadian website and yes..I was. Wow that's interesting, maybe it'll be cheaper in the US?! But that's not all! They've got prices for the games listed as well! From $39.99 to $59.99. Wowwy! And then I saw it all. Rayman 3D. It's definitely not a new game cause Ubisoft is lazy but oh man oh man do I hope it's a Rayman 3 port!


Darnit I wasn't supposed to be so excited for this console and now I am!

I heard one someone say they're remaking LoZ Ocarina of Time.
Which is funny cuz the graphics will probably be better.

Rayman 3D is a port of Rayman 2, Link's Awakening is a launch title for the Game Boy Virtual Console, and yes, there is a remake of Ocarina of Time; and yes, the graphics are a bit better.

Argh...you're right it is a Rayman 2 port. How many ports of that game do we need?! Well there goes all my excitement and I'm back at slightly below neutral.

You're going to buy a video game system with a battery life of 3-5 hours? Be my guest. We're not waiting for a smaller 3DS; we're waiting for a 3DS with longer battery life.

Wow, you really need a system to play for 12 hours non-stop? I honestly have pity.

I only play for a couple hours at a time anyway. It's not the end of the world guys, really.

Did I say 12 hours? No. Did I imply more battery life equals better efficiency, and thus less of a need for charging as often? I certainly did.
We're not saying it's the end of the world. We're simply stating that we'd like a longer battery life. Is that too much to ask for?

Actually it is. I have to charge my phone constantly' I know a lot of smartphones that are like that. Yeah, they're expensive and the battery life doesn't last forever, but it's not really such a big problem to not buy a good phone is it? Heck, I even charge my DS a lot as well, especially the DSi because it doesn't have that long of a life. What matters is how powerful the system is and battery life doesn't diminish the fact that it has good graphics for a handheld and 3D for no glasses.

And you told me more than a year ago that I made a mistake buying the DSi. Silly dmaster.
You see, for me, it's really more of a factor that is determined by the games out at the time. I'm not buying a 3DS the first day to play Pilotwings. The best titles on the 3DS don't have a set release date (Like Animal Crossing and Paper Mario), so why even purchase it if it has no games? By the time the games I want come out, the second generation would most likely be out, or close to being released.

I agree with you on more than a couple points.

Believe me, this launch support sucks. The Wii had Twilight Princess. That basically made the console completely worth it for about a year, honestly. Nintendogs and Cats? Uhh, how about no. They really screwed up with the launch support and I will give them that. The better games are slated to come out soon after the initial launch period however, so I am hopeful. What we can't predict is WHEN there will be another version. Sure, they've come out with one every year so far, but you could also compare this to the Wii (given the price point, that's reasonable). There still is not a better version of the Wii. Who is to really say there WILL be a better 3DS? I mean, why ratchet up the price already MORE than a console? That doesn't benefit them, especially if they're already going to be hurting from this version.

Also, compared to the immensely terrible launch support, battery life seems incredibly insignificant.

Finally, we agree on something, lol.
There are almost never 'better' versions of a console unless it's a hanheld. Sure, the PS2, PS3, and 360 got upgrades, but they played the same games. What would a 'better' version of the Wii do? Portable systems are like phones in a way; they get smaller and smaller, and better and better over time. You can't really have a reliable game console like the 360 in this age that will fit in the two palms of your hand.
And besides, every portable Nintendo game system has had 'upgrades'. The Game Boy had the Game Boy Pocket, Game Boy Light, and Game Boy Color. The Game Boy Advance had the SP and the Micro. The DS has the DS Lite, the DSi, and the DSi XL. Heck, even the PSP got 'upgrades'. What makes you think the 3DS won't have its 'upgrades'?

Good point, dmaster. Nintendo never said anything about making another version. With the 3DS using up so much power, what if it can't be impoved! Maybe to power a more advanced model, it would take nuclear alot of power!

I didn't say there wouldn't be an upgrade. My point was that it could take an extremely long time until we see one is all.
