3DS Not Connecting to the eShop

Guys they might be updating the shop. Instead of us being able to surf the shop while they update we now have to wait while they update. Also did you update your Nintendo Network and get your ID and download the patch for version 1.2? If not you need to update your Nintendo Network and download version 1.2 of Pokemon X/Y or you cannot connect to the internet at all. You can do it when you load the eshop when it opens or you can do it through system settings. You need to do this in order to use the bank app and I think the Youtube app as well XD.:)
 
Since the main point of this thread is about 3DS and other Nintendo products having Wi-Fi connectivity issues during the holiday season, I'm moving this thread to the Miscellaneous Discussion forum.

I was able to successfully download the Y patch from the eShop. So, hopefully it is back up and running.
 
Did you upgrade you network on your 3DS? You cannot use bank unless you do this. You need to create a Nintendo Network ID Profile. After this is updated you should be able to get online. But you also need this to use the bank app if they ever get it running correctly.:)
BTW: Is anyone having eshop troubles? It says we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience but we have taken services temporarily offline to reduce the high traffic on the Nintendo Network servers in your region and we should be up and running soon. Anyone else having this problem? The shop has never been offline until recently and tonight.:)

Other than messing with my region settings, I didn't change anything on my 3DS. But, this morning, I was finally able to connect to get the patch. Maybe there wasn't too much traffic or something.
Edit: It seems that the eShop will be down until tomorrow morning (About 4 EST-USA).
 
Ooooooooooooohhh... I didn't know we had to get the Network ID... ... ... fudge. I don't remember my username and password I put on the Wii U... Le Sigh... Hey but at least we get the shop up tomorrow. dunno if we'll get the bank though...

Yeah I was talking to you XD. Make sure you perform the Nintendo Network update as you now need a username and password for the eshop or you can set it up to auto log you in as well but if you have not done that upgrade set your ID you need to do that or you cannot use bank at all XD.:)
