For some reason I find it very difficult to believe that all those changes would actually happen. Giratina, I can see happening, but it'll have to have a major drawback, such as it itself being removed from play as a consequence. Shiny Pokémon, I hope to god not. I had enough of Pokémon-Star for two or three years, don't need any more of that. Pokémon cards being directly reprinted would probably be ultra-rares, but again, I can't see it happening. I'm not believing this until more proof comes in.

And, oh, look at that...no cosmetic changes to the cards. :p And you don't get "no flavour text", either. :p

Meh, it will probably be something like: If the defending pokemon is KO'd by this attack it is removed from play.
Maybe it will get more interesting in future sets.

I cleaned up the Origin Giratina from the website:

Anyone can use it, and credit is only needed if it is put on someone's site. So you don't have to give credit for using it for fusions/sigs/avatars.

Removing cards from play ruined yugioh. As long as pokemon keeps it truely removed from play and not just graveyard 2 I'll be ok. But as soon as we start getting dimension fusion/return from the different dimension is when this game dies.

Very very interesting news, I'm quite excited! I always wondered wether or not Pokemon would introduce a removed from play mechanics like those featured in other games like Yu-Gi-Oh, Magic, and Universal Fighting System. As for the Base reprints I'm really eager to learn wich cards are to be reprinted. And as for the Shodown, I always wondered wether or not POP would cover video game events, if I had the competitive battling skills I'd definately enter. There are plenty of members here on the forums who should definately give this a shot though! =D

english people cant go over to the U.S.A and participate

I opened the quiz, chose all of my answers within two minutes, and then hit Submit and the website went down.

When the website opened up again, I hit "Take the quiz" and it said I had TWENTY FIVE SECONDS left. I scrolled like a madman, selected what I remembered, and got a 20/20.

But yeah, I am now entered into a random drawing. However, I think if you show up to the actual event, they will pass out unused invitations. Since LA isn't far, I will surely be going, not only to report on the event, but to hopefully participate as well!

How does the cycling work in Japan? I know that DP6 starts the new cycle, but does that mean DP1-5 are now illegal? If so, how will the new game mechanics affect the previous sets for US players?

Urm.. I live in England, and am bummed that I miss all the fun, and while the site is easily working for me, It isn't for you people?Lol, I guess if I can't have it, you guys can't either lol.Or it may just be that your region is having giant traffic for the site.

Cool! Jessie is finnaly going to catch another pokemon and Dawn finnaly earned her second ribbon. I can't wait to see these episodes. :D

I can't wait to see these reprinted old cards. Personally I'm hoping for Venusaur and Blastoise, but I can't think of anything else. The whole removing cards from play thing sounds interesting, but if it's true, Giratina will replace all the decks and we end up with G&G all over again.
