Rules for posting a RMT
1.You must be accepting of all advice given.
When you post your RMT, members are supposed to help you improve your team. Shooting down all of their advice is unacceptable unless accompanied by a reason. Ignoring criticism defeats the purpose of posting your RMT in the first place.
If you break this rule: Violators will receive a verbal warning. If the behavior continues, their RMT will be locked.
2. The team must have all six members listed.
If your team doesn’t have all six members listed for your team to qualify as a RMT. If you’re looking for advice on building a team, making a post in the Fifth Generation Competitive Play forum will suffice.
This does include VGC teams, because of the bring 6, pick 4 format.
If you break this rule: Violators will not have their thread approved.
3. Your RMT must have their tier that the team is build for in the title.
For the convenience of everyone, please put the tier you’ve built the team for in the title. It will help members give better advice for the team.
If you break this rule: Violators will be given a verbal warning to add it into their title.
4. You must include all critical information about your Pokemon.
This includes: nature, item, moves, EVs (numbers, not words), IVs (if they differ from perfect 31s; VGC teams are exempt) and abilities. All of those must be there! Exporting your team from Pokemon Online gives you all of this information, so there should be no excuse for breaking it.
If you break this rule: Your team will not be approved.
5. You must post a strategy.
Posting the strategy of your team will help others give you better advice, and that is encouraged. Your strategy can be explained anywhere in the RMT, as long as it is present.
If you break this rule: Your team will not be approved.
6. You must update your original post with any changes.
This will also improve the advice given to you. If you don’t make changes to your OP after you’ve made a change, members could suggest a change that you’ve already made, but said so in a later post. If this happens, their bad rating advice falls to your lack of diligence in updating your thread. Keeping a change log at the bottom of your OP is a great way to communicate (please put it in spoiler tags), and it won’t ruin the presentation of your RMT like bold tags or color tags will. If you submit your team for the RMT of the month contest, you may not edit it once it is submitted until after the scores for each of the teams is given. This helps avoid inconsistencies between the judges on what moves, EV spreads, etc. there was when grading.
If you break this rule: You will receive a verbal warning and you will have two days to edit in any information.
7. You must include a description on the Pokemon.
This is very important. Descriptions show that you’ve worked with the team and you know its strengths, weaknesses and goals. If you don’t write any descriptions for your Pokemon, it shows that you don’t know your team well. A good rule for the length of descriptions is six (6) sentences.
If you break this rule: Your RMT will not be approved.
8. You must not post your RMT more than once.
Threads in the RMT forum will go unapproved once you post it. Therefore, you will not see it once you have posted it, so don’t be alarmed. If you made a mistake, please let [mod]R-C[/mod], [smod]Pride[/smod], [smod]King Arceus[/smod] or [mod]ComfortEagle[/mod] know.
If you break this rule: You will receive a verbal warning.
9. You must wait until your RMT is considered “dead” before you can post a new one.
Members aren’t allowed to have two active RMTs at once. It’s difficult to ladder with two different teams simultaneously, and it is incredibly difficult to make two RMTs for the two of them.
If you break this rule: Your new thread will not be approved.
If you have any questions, send a PM to [mod]R-C[/mod], [smod]Pride[/smod], [smod]King Arceus[/smod] or [mod]ComfortEagle[/mod].
