There are some things I always wondered about some of the evolutionary lines. So, I think the fifth generation should fix some loose ends in a few things, like the following...

What do you think Pokébeach?

*sigh* It's been CONFIRMED there will never be a kanghas-"chan." It was asked in a Q & A Session and the answer was a flat no.

errrr. I say leave the current pokemon alone. They already messed up duskull, electabuzz, and magmar, all which look better than their evos in my opinion.

My sentiments exactly. I don't mind it when they come out with some new evos, but it doesn't mean a whole lot if the designs are just downright terrible.

On a side note: why would a baby Kangaskhan evolve into Cubone? That doesn't make any sense, to me. I always thought that Cubone was supposed to be a species all its own that might be related to Kangaskhan somewhere down the line, not its baby taken another form.

Really they have said one thing and done something totally different before, so I won't put it passed them to make a baby kangy.

Also the skull that cubone wears has nothing to do with kanghaskan. The skull belonged to it's mother.

About Shellbro, I believe that there is some Pokedex entry that states that Shellder will attach themselves to Slowpoke. If they get bitten on the head, they get smart and turn into Slowking.

For everyone asking...

The "baby" in Kangaskhan's pouch doesn't look quite like a Kangaskhan so it has always been a little ambiguous. Also, the tale about Cubone and it's Mother never tells us who the mother actually is. It can't be Marowak, that doesn't make sense. So, the artist decided to mix the two broken stories into one that makes sense. Also, why do MALE Kangaskhan have a pouch with a child?

This is also fan art, but I found it online, so I thought I'd share...

I liked Dusknoir and Magmortar, but Electivire and Rhyperior-n (whatever) were meh.
On-topic, it's an interesting theory but one which will most likely not occur.

*sigh* Okay. Originally, (GEN I) there was Kangaskhan. If the mother fainted a certain number of times in battle, it would die and the BABY would become a Cubone, who would become a Marowak, who would evolve into Kangaskhan. However, they decided it was too complicated/too dark/not a good idea. So they separated the line and made them have no relation to one another.

So the idea of them being linked is not only not ridiculous, it's true. However, I HIGHLY doubt they'd choose to reconnect the lines after 4 generations of keeping them separate, with not even a hint they were related.

I just gotta say. I never put the two together like ever, in my entire life. You've just blown my mind sir with the imaginary-link between Kangaskhan and Cubone. I, I need some Cap'N Crunch now to calm myself down.

I like your Shellder thesis, but the Cubone/Kangaskhan one is just ridiculous.

That is impossible. There is a Pokedex entry that states that the thing on Slowbro's tail or Slowking's head is a Shellder.

Not so imaginary, since that's how they were going to do it. But Pokemon is aimed at children, and that was assumed to be a little too gruesome, so it was axed. Look at a Cubone sometime, and put it next to Kangaskhan. The skull structures match.

It also couldn't be a Marowak's skull on Cubone's head because it already has a skull on it's head. Also the ghost of the mother as I remembered it had no real form as a ghost so there's no way to prove it. I say the shellder line doesn't make sense as it has already been said, but cubone and kangaskhan being related would make perfect sense. I was wondering though kaorusquee how you knew about the original plot. Also none of this will ever because if they took it out why would they put it back in.

You've all ruined my hopes and dreams, thanks a-lot :( I hoped not thought...so it wasn't me revealing a secret, it is me hoping for what SHOULD be, at least with the Cubone-Kangaskahn ordeal. *sigh* It would be soooo cool.
