(6) Japan Relief, Speed Gamers, Simulator,Victini Deck, Battle Decks, BW Sales [3/12]

My thoughts go out to those affected by the Earthquake and the Tsunami, if this delays BW's episodes, it's understandable because real life is always more important than the airings of T.V shows.

I heard people started rumors about the creator, Satoshi Tajiri dying in the earthquakes, luckily they're just rumors.

Thank goodness! My sister, without symphathy of those who died, was teasing me all day, "Haha, no more Pokeman games for you." I hope Japan makes a speedy recovery.

Yeah, the whole Satoshi thing has been completely dispelled, even by Ken Sugimori himself via his twitter.

Please spare a few dollars if possible to relief funds to help Japan get back on their feet. The disaster is still on-going, with many aftershocks as large as what their normal quakes would be. Every little bit helps.

There was another post made on Twitter about the Status of the people of Pokemon of Japan regarding the Earthquake last Friday:

i am completely devastated by the disaster and i live well over 6000 miles away from Japan. it's just so terrible. my thoughts and condolences go out to all of japan and everyone else affected by the quake and the tsunami. it's just so depressing and i hope they are able to recover quickly.

I have full faith in the strength of the Japanese people. They have a certain quality that sets them apart from other societies dealing with massive disasters that I can't quite place my finger on. My main concern is the nuclear plants... But if they made it through the atomic bombs, they can make it through this.

Its sad to hear that Japan got hit by a devastating earthquake. I hope that they recover quickly and my thoughts go out to Japan.

UPDATE!!!

After watching CBS News two minutes ago, readings seen are worse than stated beforehand. The main island actually moved 8 feet, the earthquake was actually a 9.0 magnitude (not 8.9), and the earth's axis has now shifted four degrees. Besides that, everything is the same. I will try to make updates here as the come about the Japanese tsunami and earthquake.

Well whenever you have an Earthquake of that magnitude of course the Earth's Axis is going to shift just slightly, take for example Chile last year which was struck by an 8.8 Magnitude Earthquake which caused the Earth's Axis to shift and that resulted in the loss of a day by a small percentage. The only quakes around the world that don't cause the Earth's Axis to shift are the one's that do minimal damage like those on the Richter Scale of 5.0 or lower.

This is how our planet works, it's obvious there's some kind of activity taking place in the Pacific Ring of Fire which is causing the Earth's plates to shift. New Zealand is not too far from the Ring of Fire so that could explain that there's a connection with the Tectonic Plates that make up the Pacific Ocean. Who knows how long before the West Coast of California may be struck by a powerful Earthquake since it's located right by the Ring of Fire.

Time will tell.

Some people think that some Earthquakes are manmade, not by Nature, or Aliens from Outer Space might be responsible for causing them from secret underwater bases at the bottom of the ocean, or maybe a conspiracy that involves the U.S. Government triggering powerful Earthquakes from deep under the Earth's surface underground. Unfortunately for us humans we don't have the technological advancements yet to predict Earthquakes and when they occur.

My wishes go out to the Japanese. Also, small update. The 9.0 magnitude ties this earthquake for fourth in the list of the world's worst earthquakes, tying with the earthquake in Kamchatka, Russia in 1952 when the contry was the USSR. The earthquakes that beat it are. The Indonesian earthquake in 2004 (9.1), the Alaska earthquake in 1964 (9.2), and an earthquake in Chile in 1960, hitting a horrid 9.5 magnitude.

One of my biggest fears regarding this tragedy is that this could spell the end of the Japanese Anime/Manga Industry as well as Japanese Pop Culture as we know it. Tokyo is still intact so that's a good sign, there's not much that involves the Japanese Pop Culture and the Anime/Manga Industry over at the epicenter of the quake in Sendai right?

The Prime Minister of Japan already announced that this is the worst crisis Japan has faced since the Atomic Warhead Bombings of Nagasaki and Hiroshima back in World War II. Back then shortly after Hitler committed suicide following the fall of the Nazi Regime the U.S. needed to find some way to defeat Japan without having to invade their country for reasons which I have no idea why.

Sadly one of the reasons why the U.S. bombed Japan back then 60 years ago was an "act" to intimidate Russia and the Soviet Union which later lead to the Cold War back in the 1980's. Even to this day I still never understood why Japan attacked Pearl Harbor in Hawaii 60 years ago, was it to get the U.S. involved with defeating the evil regimes surrounding Germany and Russia with Hitler and Stalin or was it something else?

Wow. Alot of news today. I am glad that Pokemon is almost #1 now but I still like the old Mario Bros too. You know if you ever get a clog in your pipes call Mario & Luigi. They will fix your pipes right up.. However I am deeply saddened about the Earthquake that happened on Friday. It will be years before they are back to normal and also the Japanese will always remember this date as well as they are very sensitive to disasters and will have a major impact on their lives for years to come. Right now there are millions suffering. Right now as I type this the Mormon Church is also doing everything they can to help. If anyone here lives near a Mormon or LDS Church you can go there to donate so they can help them out all around the nation. The Missionaries that serve in Japan on missions are trying to help also. Anyone that is going to serve on mission in the near future please choose Japan so that way you guys can help those in need of help over there as it is your mission to serve in the footsteps of Jesus Christ. This is what he did all his life and now it is your turn to serve. Best regaurds to all those going out on mission and also to those that are going over to help too. Just remember one thing. If you have faith trust in it believe in it live in it and you will be better in the longrun.:) Today talk at church was faith so I thought I should share a little since this was a major disaster.:)

So you think Japan's recovery will be about as bad as in Haiti and Indonesia where it will take years to get back to normal? As far as I recall Japan isn't a Third World Country in poverty infact they have the 3rd Largest Economy in the World, amazing infrastructure, history, agriculture, and amazing people as well.

We're not gonna let a 9.0 Earthquake end the video game industry, Nintendo, the Anime/Manga Industry, as well as Japanese Pop Culture. I have a strong feeling that Japan will recover alot sooner than Haiti and Indonesia from their Earthquake aftermath's, and with peoples lives being saved and all of us as a world working together to restore Japan to it's former glory I'm sure we'll succeed.

It's times like these that we need to be optimistic about the future, despite events getting us down.

The Speed Gamers got to their goal of $15,000 and they caught all 251 Pokemons on time but they spent so much time on catching Celebi.

It's a hard glitch. They're amazing for doing this for charity and they completed it yet again. I can't wait until their next Pokemon marathon+steroids later this year.

My heart goes out to Japan and any who are affected by this terrible disaster. It's really sad.

I can't wait until I see the final plans of this TCG Simulator. It seems like a really cool concept that could be way better than Redshark. I'm game if it's good enough. I totally expected B/W to sell really good too.

dmaster out.

So much news!

But, Japan's impact overcomes all of the Pokemon-related news. This is such a tragedy and we need to take the $10 we were gonna use on those three packs of cards for the Japanese. The earthquake has literally torn these citizens' lives apart. It's such a disappointment that so many of us take life for granted. Let's help them out.

Now, on a more positive note, I am excited for the Pokemon industry and for the simulator and those sales. The simulator may finally get me back into the game.
