Hey, everybody. My school's 8th grade writing test is next week,
and I was wondering how many people on here are taking it next week.
To everyone that says *rolleyes* "Omz! I took that test a long time ago who cares?"
Well, guess what? I care. I heard if you don't score well, then you don't get a Driver's Lisence!
0.0 I'm scared now.
Share your opinions on the Writing Test of Doom, and if you really don't get a Driver's Lisence! >.<

Just cause you don't pass a writing test doesn't mean you can't get a driver's license. I never heard of that.

Ya, NOTHING counts towards anything untill you get to high school.

This test is kind of impossible to study for, because they don't tell you what it's about until they hand you the test and say, "Start."

Strangely, thats seems true... weird...

Lol ya. Though I got suspended at the end of my senior year, literally the 10th day from getting out of classes because of a water balloon fight the senior class was going to do. I talked with the dean and he said all this will just get thrown out at the end of the year. It gave me a day off to work on a Physics project so I didn't care. Though I don't advocate getting suspended.

But ya just eat a good breakfast and get a good night sleep. I was never good at the writing process, I was more of a reading person.

Dude, quit being an 8th grader and get older.
=]

I remember those days...
you went from being top of the foodchain as 8th graders, to being absolutely nothing as freshman.
Ahhh.. those were the good days...

lol

Writing has always come naturally to me. I'd like to think I'm good at it. Even when I had to write essays in English class, instead of just bringing the cold hard facts, I'd add a more personal tone to it, and phrase it as if I were speaking to the reader. Making it sound like a conversation is just one way that I get through writing a tough report.

Personally, studying has never helped me. I have only actually studied for a test once in my life, and I ended up trying so hard to remember the material I read that I ended up doing worse. So, I don't study. However, that doesn't mean you shouldn't try to do so.

Since you don't know exactly what it is you'll be tested on, it's pretty hard to offer specific advice, but ssman0017 has the right idea - get a good night's sleep the night before and get a good breakfast in so your mind is in top form for the test.

Whatever this test thing is, it's easy. I, being a "sevy", have never heard of this test of doom. You'll get the stinkin' license anyway. How does writing affect your ability to drive a car? Usually if you can't study for a test, it won't count against your grade that much. In Connecticut, we just have the CMTs, the Connecticut Mastery Test. It's easy, as it's designed for the losers respected students that are not in higher level classes. just chill out about the test. You'll at least get a C! :D

The most important thing about writing is lying. Just say things you wouldn't actually do, just because they're easier to write about.

Firstly learn how to spell writing XD
No really there wont be a penalty that you cant drive lol ^_^

Yep, I got it next week. I don't pass? I don't graduate from high school. Sleep well, good breakfast and DON'T PANIC!!!!!!!

dmaster out.

Ew, I hated those tests. But, for tests like those at my previous schools, nothing bad like that happened if you failed, but if you did well, you'd have to take the SATs early. Yay.

It's stupid to repeat everything that has already been said, but especially don't panic, because then your mind will lock up. Or something like that.

Lol So true about the worrying part. I took the SAT's three times I scored in the 1000's on the first two, when I studied and worried. I took it a third time to be with my girlfriend( we ended up at different testing locations) I had already paid so I said ya I'll go. I ended up get a 1170 or something around there. So just relax it makes a difference.

Yeah, I can relate to taking a big test. I am in the 7th grade and took the SAT! I did get 1490 overall.
