Today marks the 8th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the United States of America. Countless lives lost then, and even more are being lost as a result of it. No matter what religion, race, or political party you are, you should still take time to contemplate the events that occurred on this day and honor those who are risking their lives so we can sleep soundly at night.

God Bless America.

God Bless the souls who were lost in the 9/11 attack. This is, no doubt, one of the most tragic events of American history. My heart goes out to the families that have lost friends and family members from the attack.

I wish along with many others to honor those who died in the collapse as well as the brave policeman/firemen/and civilians who risked their lives to save others from the wreckage

god bless America and a special god bless to NYC

God bless America. I was in English class in Ontario Canada when my English teacher told us about what happened and then I came home and it was all over the news. I remember seeing smoking towers on a TV in the school office from the halway during lunch but did not know what it was at that very time and moment as I was heading to my next class then I heard about the attack from my English teacher that talk about if for a godd hour and a half. We only had 4 periods rather than 6 so each period was about an hour and 25 minutes or so. Se we did not do much work that day.:)

Can't believe it's already that long ago. Honor to those who have died in this terrible happening... May this never happen again...

This was a horrible tragedy. Many lives were lost, all innocent every-day people, ruined in a party of flames and the crashing buildings, all due to terrorists. I say, down with terrorists, and I am sorry for all of you and the rest of the world with lost family and friends, don't lose hope. Know they are always with you in your heart, and be grateful. God bless America, and the world.

God Bless America, the families of the victims, the fire fighters who risked their lives, the survivors of the tragedy, and the world.

The day sucks. Terrible memories and a sad remembrance. God bless America.

dmaster out.

9/11/2001 will never be forgotten. I remember 8 years ago on this day I was eating a snack during day at my pre-school. My teachers turned the TV on right before the second plane struck the tower. I happened to look over and saw the whole thing. I had no clue what was going on.

Now I now what happened. Many innocent people lost their lives. Today in my religion class we watched the videos of "Where I was when it happened". My science teacher's son-in-law was in the complex when it happened. He went in 30 minutes early.

My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who lost a loved one 8 years ago today.

This event was completely unbelievable. A lot of Americans thought that an terrorist attack on our land was crazy. All it took were 4 planes to change that forever. Security has been stepped up.

What really bugs me is;

-If the airport service people knew of the attacks, why didn't they refuse them to board the plane?

-And why did it take 3 planes for people to get up and fight with the hijackers? (Flight 93 which crash-landed in Shanksville, PA)

This could've saved thousands of innocent lives if this could've been avoided. But, it has improved America because we're now more prepared if they try again.

I remember seeing footage of the attacks on the World Trade Center before school, when I was in third grade. When I got to school, my teacher said a plane had also hit the Pentagon. We didn't talk about it very long though. I think he realized we were to young to undertand what was going on. Then, when I got home, I heard about the plane that crashed into the ground in Pennsylvania.

God Bless America and bless all of those who went through the pain, there and at home on 9/11.

I remember it faintly... I was doing some tasks in the basement with my brother and cousin and my aunt had an exchange student for the year. She called to the basement and our aunt ran upstairs to see what had happened, unaware of what she was about to uncover. She came down with a depressed, almost terrified, look on her face and she flipped on the TV. I'm sure she was even crying. We could all her reporting of an event and we were told what it was, but as innocent as we were, we had no idea what had happened or the significance of it, normal for young 4 year old children like ourselves. Now, you really think about it... sometimes you wish you were more aware of it when it had happened so you could actually say it affected you at the time. Regardless, I'm sure it pains myself and others to just think about the pain of those who lost a loved one in this terrible event. God bless not only America but the rest of our world.

I do to. I was in the middle of 2nd grade literacy class. As everything happened, they relayed it on the PA system. we also had no clue what was going on.

The thing that hurts me the most, is how we all put our flags at half-mast for this day now, because it's a "national day of mourning". like, 20 years from now, we won't be doing this probably. Look at Pearl Harbor. We used to have our flags at half-mast for that day, but we don't anymore. That is really not respecting the families of those soldiers, and in 20 years, the same thing will probably happen. >:[

It was a sad and tragic thing that happened on that day...I pray for the people who perished...the things that could have been done and what might have been. But there is no use to mumble about the past... Rest in peace...God Bless every single humn being that died that day...

RIP

I don't think I could ever forget this day. I had just come home from school, and was talking to my Mum. Then she gets a call from my Dad just saying "turn on the news"... and there it was. Footage of a plane crashing into a building. That image will haunt me forever.

Never forget, guys.

My dad was in a hotel across the streat from the towers the day before it happedned. I was telling him how lucky he was that he was seeing the twin towers in New York. He told me that I would have many more chances to see them. A day later those chances were gone.

I am not an American but I lived in that great country for 6 years. I am proud to have lived there.

My mom's cousin (I'm pretty sure it was him) was in the building when it happened. He was a couple floors below the floor where the plane hit. My mom got a call from his wife saying that she knew he had gotten to his office. Not until later that day did she get a call from him saying that he had figured out that it was a terrorist attack the moment it happened and he immediately ran down the stairs and got out safely except for being filled with dust.

Not everyone was that lucky.

I remember waking up that morning and wondering why the heck Pokemon wasn't on.

Jihad on Alqaeda I suppose.

I pray for everyone that lost their lives on 9/11, all of the police, the firefighters..that tried their hardest. God Bless America.
