A /facepalm at the deck garage in general.

That doesn't give it the right to get the most posts also the only reason that G&g got so many top cuts is because it WAS ABOUT 50 PERCENT OF WHAT WAS BEING PLAYED

What does that tell you then? Also it was more like 70% of PLOX/gg's.

How about adding to the list of complaints: PLOX/GG deck lists get like 100's of posts, other meta decks get a good number, nonmeta decks are lucky to get more than 5. That really ticks me off, it seems like all everyone knows is GG just becasue everyone plays GG, no one posts on other decks.

that's because pokemon tcg is divided into 3 sections: those who are excelent strategists and really can play well and make new decks, those who may make weak decks but at least they tried to come up with something new, and those who just don't create decks and use what just about everyone is using; if that deck is highly played that person will play it, and some of those people actually modify the decks, that's good that's inovating, while in the meanwhile there are people that use the decks just about as they see them on the net

and now another thing: for example, suddely everyone has taken a look at dusknoir d/p and started to use it just because someone said it and everyone followed/COPIED the idea...

I find myself as an unsual player: I cannot afford getting many cards so I never go to tournaments and stuff but I have my own decks created in documents in my computer (of course like everyone I used many known ideas for decks)

and in the end of it, I think this is a thread that will do no good as those 3 sections of players will always exist and we are trying to cause a revolution at the deck garage (at least that's what it seems) with the risk of having his topic locked (who cares anyway :D)

That's what I'm really saying, is where are those players? Obviously, the GG'ers are only ever going to be GG'ers, but the rouges and elite players should be posting on more "innovative" decks than GG and Magkiss.

And btw, someone explain to me whats so innovative about changing up GG? I believe the words for that include "tweaking," "fiddling," "modifying," but nothing overly "innovative" about it. Innovative means something new, like combining electrode and Dusknoir,as an example (hmm, what a good idea...I'll do that lol), or something like that.

alright let's split a section in 2: some inovate some just make the deck a bunch of sh**

EDIT: i miss the time when there wasn't a bunch of players who think that just because they have 60 cards they think they're unstopable...

How does electrode and dusknoir work anyway??? sure its inovative...
EDIT: ok now I get It.. hehehe sorry

What I really hate is when people try and make the deck you post in to "there deck" For example: Gardevoir and Jumpluff (not that I would play this). When you ask for help some one would just say take out Jumpluff and put in Gallade and Dusknoir. What if I don't want to make a g/g or plox deck? Unless the pokemon match is horrid (like my example above) it best to try and help them in some other way besides completely changing the deck around to make it in to the deck you want it to be.

I agree with this stuff :/ Usually I don't post a deck unless it's something I came up with, and I rarely get helpful advice. :/

11/10.

Good Topic. VERY, good Topic.

I'll bet this has been said before, but I'm too lazy to read all the pages; I've also noticed quite a few people coming in, saying that...

"This deck can't hold up against PLOX"
"GG would destroy this"
"Try Empo"
"Too bad (Insert MetaGame) is so popular."

...And leaving. Is this thread not to help people build decks that CAN hold there own? New ideas show up, and people just point out the flaws. Every time a new set is released, a few key decks are built within the first couple of days, and all other decks are shoved out of the way.

I say we should all be more open to new ideas, and if we doubt them, give them a try, at the very least. Members of PB aren't looking for reasons why they shouldn't use their deck, they're looking for help FOR their deck. "I" for one, have always attempted to give explanations for my critique, and I absolutely love it when a new, "low tier (in a sense)" deck is built.

My input, please read and consider it =D

Shoot man, give my decks a call some time :/ I'd love that kind of attention.

It's all I ever here. This won't stand up to Deck A or Deck B, this isn't good enough, blah blah blah....it's like they only want metagame decks to exist at all.

This.
It gets EXTREMELY annoying.

And I'll come to your decks and tell you what I think =D

:D

Also, who else has ever seen one of the 'professionals'?

You know, the GUY that knows EVERYTHING and comes to your deck to make sure YOU know that he knows EVERYTHING?

:/

Hur Hur Hur...

"I say drop the ____ and add in ____. I won nat's and world's with ____, If you need more help, I'm undefeated and 8 years old- I mean...Good...at...this."\

I rated your deck! =D

me be 2.5 :) i sometimes create good decks by myself, and will only use the metagame if needed

also, i agree. this thread does need a 2-2 clayodl and 4 dre :p

I couldnt agree more with this topic. Every other post I see is either add 2-2 Claydol or add Pachi. I cant argue that these are great cards and fit into a lot of decks, but not EVERY deck.

My other pet peeve is when people post decks with cards that have not been released yet, but spoiled from Japanese translations. This may be just something that bothers me, but I wont reply to those deck types. There are plenty of cards available to us NOW to use and make decks with.

Hate to admit it...but it's too late for that. Everyone's already looking to the new cadrs, almost as if they're bored with what's available now. :[

I admit I'm guilty of building a deck with the new ones, but at least I'm only building onto strategies that already exist :\

Well, my deal is that I've been to Nats and that I'm gearing up for next season. 'What's available now' is GG, and everyone knows it.

And as much as we don't want to admit it, GG is going to have the best odds. So we're just trying to come up with something that can hold its own against this...this...THIS POWA! xP

(btw, Dauntless, do you have RedShark/Hamachi? I'd like to play you sometime =D)

Guys, I know a lot of you are unhappy, but please do the best you can to keep the language under control.

This thread belongs in the Site Discussion forum. I agree with the position of the thread creator; the Deck Garage has been a problem for a while now. We now have a set of guidelines that members must follow when posting decks in the Deck Garage; you can find it in the sticky thread located here:

http://pokebeach.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=37520

DocRobot, I just read the rules you posted, especially the one about replying to someones deck list. It states: "When you suggest a change to a decklist, please do not just suggest what cards to remove or add, but why to remove or add those cards". Yet on a daily basis when I look at the listed decks I see at least a few of these types of posts, most frequently Elekid. Is this rule enforced in any way?

we are attempting to crack down on those. However it is also up to you guys and gals to report those posts to us so we can fix the problem.
