To register your nickname so that you can keep it for yourself only (and so other people can't take your name), type "/nickserv register password email (without the quotations)." Be sure to change your name to the one you want first! Note that after you change your nickname to the one you want, you must wait 30 seconds before you can register your name. As an example of registering your name, if your e-mail address is [email protected] and you want your password to be Articuno, you would type: /nickserv register Articuno [email protected]
