When i went through the 75+ Triumphant scans,i saw one Pokemon who might be able to prevent some donks....

And then...im talking....about...Pidgeot.

Just look at that Headwind. If you have Pidgey + Rarecandy + Pidgeot + Double Colorless Energy in your hand, many donks can be screwed.

Or: Pidgey+Pidgeotto+Pidgeot+BTS+DC Energy,but meh,pretty much the same.

Like this for a little decklist: (Not full)
Pokemons:
4x Pidgey
4x Pidgeotto
4x Pidgeot
Energy:
4x Rescue
4x Double Colorless
Trainers:
4x BTS.

RE: A way to stop Donks!

Point is, if you get the chance to set up a Pidgeot before they donk you, you should also have time to set up your actual main pokemon. As a deck, it might be fun, but as an anti-donk tech, it's pointless. And I prefer the old way to stop donks: Call Energy.

Yeah. I am gonna try to use it in a deck too,if i would get it =P . But setting up Pidgeot has the same luck as in T1 Donk IMO. And i knew of call energy, but what if that ain't usable anymore and becomes Unlimited?

-.- Like i said: "And i knew of call energy, but what if that ain't usable anymore and becomes Unlimited?"

I don't think we should start theorizing about next rotation when all of the set's aren't even out yet for this season (especially with whatever the Black&White sets might bring out) and who knows what PUSA might decide to reprint in the meantime.

Playing more basics would help for getting donked, but after a few turns: seeing you have basics more so less Stage 1 and Stage 2,they'll be able to finish you off easily. And if you can't draw a Call Energy then? You can only have 4 in your deck of them and you cannot search them.

How exactly are you going to use this Pidgeot to stop a T1 Machop-Candy-Machamp-Energy?

Oh wait. You won't.

^cause using take out for 20 will obviously ko the pidgeot

but really call energy and more basics are the way to go
and not searching for call isn't anything against it cause you can do much search when you go first on t1 anyway
actually, how do you plan on getting a pidgeot out when you go first on t1 anyway?

and if your gonna get a stage 2 out, why not just get something out that can do more than 20 damage
pretty much any stage 2 has to much hp to get donked

I don't advise the use of Pidgeot

If you really want to stop a donk deck, just run a donk deck that is slightly faster than your opponents'

And Spidy, mind enlightening me how you are going to get that Pidgeot out on your T1 exactly to prevent their T1 from being a Machamp donk?

I don't know about an "Anti-Donk" card, but it can be quite disruptive to decks like Gyrados, and SP.

EDIT: @ Lou: It all depends on who goes first. If Pidgey goes first, it gets donked. If it goes second, then Machamp can't donk.

If you fail to get what you need, you can always add in TM TS-2 and call energy to be especially annoying to candy users.
