Ruling Abilities ruling?

This is a weird one I heard from one of the PTO's that its ruled that Umbreon UD moonlight fang attack blocks damage from opponents pokemon with Abilities since the card came out before before the abilities I guess its ruled as Abilities count as powers? thoughts? seems legit to me. I'm assuming since they came out earlier they would have been eretad to include Abilities it makes sense.

If so does that mean things like ERL can hit pokemon with abilities?

Abilities are different from Poke-Powers and Poke-Bodies. Moonlight Fang will NOT work on Abilities. IIRC, the rulebook specifically stated that Abilities are completely different from Poke-powers and Poke-Bodies.

He's right; it did. Abilities are distinctly separate from Powers and Bodies, and Thunder Fall was even the example they used. - DNA
