Accelgor Discussion Thread

I'd say Kingdra > Zone or Empoleon.
Since you will most likely be behind from trying to set up Vileplume and other stuff you will most likely be behind when you start attacking.
That's why prize trade isn't acceptable in this deck.
You need Kingdra to avoid the prize trades and keep up the lock.

Does anyone think you could tech in Magnezone Prime or Empoleon to draw cards? Empoleon would thin your deck so you would only have a few cards left.

Virizion.

My list has Virizion and it wins you games in this deck. You get draw power to start, and you can attack once setup. If you need a stall to build up more Accelgor, Virizion is there.

You could use Plume and Sunflora, and to get the KO going into your turn, you can try Aerodactyl/ Twist Mountain/ Seeker, or possibly just Accelgor with Level Ball, Ultra Ball, and PlusPower... but I imagine straight Accelgor wouldn't do so well. If Twist Mountain fails you and the foe is KOed into their turn, you can bring up a Virizion and try to survive the next turn. I don't know, just throwin ideas out there. :)

A deck reminiscent of Glistomb (Gliscor lvX + Spiritomb AR) It did the same thing except via a poke-power.

This is one of the more viable fun decks that can actually win you games, however the thing i don't like is that we have no efficient way of being able to manipulate damage on your opponents field, as ideally you want the defending pokemon to be KO'd via poison during your opponents turn so you can continue the lock. However because of this you may end up knocking something out and your opponent will return KO, and it's obvious this deck will not win in a prize race.

Apart from that, the deck concept seems pretty decent and i won't be surprised if the deck makes an appearance at a couple BRs and maybe even Nationals.

Forget Mew Prime, wait for Mew EX, it will be fun

With Leafeon or Ninetales BW5 (maybe next series after DE), double fun =]
