Who else thinks that probably 90% of the admins and mods have no reason to be doing so on this website?
Who else can agree that they have in the past gotten pms & warning %'s for unjust reasons?
I think there are quite a few of these people in positions of power abusing their responsibilities.
Has anybody else come to this conclusion?

Just before this topic gets locked...

There's a lot I could say to your statement that I can agree with, but not very much of it I want to say publicly. (Actually, I don't think I want to say ANY of it publicly, except for the bit that I've never deserved any warning I've received save one.) You and I, one day we'll have to talk man-to-man about it.

I just want to ask you this: Did you ever stop to think that maybe there was a very good reason for the actions taken that you simply weren't aware of at the time? More often than not, these type threads are generated from situations that could have potentially let to a unappealing result, but such result was prevented by quick action by those in authority. Honestly, I believe it's because they aren't abusing their powers that you were even still around to be able to post this in the first place. If they were abusing their power anywhere near the scale you say they are, I doubt this site would have survived this long, much less be where it is today. I personally have had several scenarios across various forums where the actions made no sense at the time, but months down the road I was able to look back and see that everything the mods/admins did was exactly what was needed in the situation. No one is perfect and false accusations do occur, but at least you're still here. In this world of sugar-coated lies and where people feel they shouldn't have to bear the consequences of their own actions, it's easy to think someone is abusing their power in a situation like this (I'm still catching myself falling into this very same trap despite being aware of it). The real key is to try and see the situation from the other person's point of view and see where they could have inferred an appearance of trouble, whether or not such trouble existed.

According to the PokéBeach Frequently Asked Questions section of the Rules & Info., if you don't agree with a warning you've received you can either contact the Moderator who issued it and discuss it, or contact a Super Moderator about it. When you received the unjust warnings, did you follow these avenues of discussion to try to get it straightened out (or come to an understanding about why they were issued)?

From my perspective, I think it's hard to agree that 90% of the Moderators / Admin (there's only one Administrator, Shining Raikou) don't deserve their positions. From my experience with them they're hard-working and always try to moderate approriately, following the rules of the forums. Absolutely none of them abuse their power from what I've seen.

And just because I'm part of the "Staff" usergroup, I hope you don't take my input as "sticking up for your buddies" or as "something you've got to say because you don't want to lose your title!" I've been part of the site for years, as a regular member and as staff, and I always speak the truth from my perspective without sugar-coating it.

Yes...and I did talk to them about it. I was very civil about it too. I'm no slouch. And I do agree with you on all your points, Xous, although I know some people do get disgruntled and I can see where they come from. But my opinion on this matter is rather close to neutral.

I'd like to put this out here as well before anyone says anything: just because I'm not staff anymore doesn't mean I am holding grudges. I do not. It's unhealthy to hold grudges and I want none of them in my own life.

Sorry for not specifying - that was directed at the Original Poster. I know you took all the necessary steps to talk to people, I'm just hoping people who feel the way OP does understand those avenues are available if they feel they've been wronged.

There used to be one who abused his waaaaaaay too much. He took over the website and hacked WPM (the webmaster)'s account, making it inaccessible. When it got fixed, he was banned. I don't want to disclose the member's name. *shudders*

But I don't see anyone abusing their authority. Do you?

If you have a problem with a mod, send a PM to WPM. Or just suck it up and take your 20% warning, LOLOLOLOL
