Standard Aegislash EX / Dialga EX / Bronzong

Hey All,

I have been playing around with a Bronzong/Aegislash/Dialga build all day. I took the base from the Bronzong list in the Competative Play section. I've been having trouble with it though. I played about 40 games and won around 25%. Almost every game I lost both myself and my opponent were down to 1-2 prizes. Its consistently drawing well in early game but its having some trouble sealing the deal late game.

I feel like its a good deck that is simply missing some minor tweak but I can't figure it out. What are your thoughts?

A card that a lot of Metal decks are running right now is Heatran PHF. It's a good non-EX attacker that does a lot of damage. Another card that they run is Seismitoad because it's a great starter in this otherwise slow deck. Also, I don't think repeat ball is that useful in Bronzong because you can use Ultra Ball and discard Metal energy. On that note, three battle compressors is too much especially with cards like Sycamore and Ultra Ball.
I think that you should run one or two more Double Colorless. This works great with Diagla and Heatran, if you decide to run it. Also, since you run only one Keldeo I don't think you need three float stone. If Keldeo is that important then take out a float stone for another Keldeo. Since you still need to make more room, I say take out a Colress, Steel Shelter, and a Bronzong. You usually don't want to set up four Bronzong because you only have one other bench spot. I think 2 Colress is plenty with VS Seekers. Then Steel Shelter, not too many decks play LaserBank besides Toad that dosen't run Manectric. I think three is enough.
But hey, you've played this deck more than me but I hope this still helps!

Thank you. This is really helpful. I started thinking about my late game hands and I definitely had too many battle compressors and tools sitting idle in my hand end game. Even worse I Colress for 8-12 cards and draw dead. I'll take this into consideration. I really appreciate your feedback :-D

No problem.:)

Adding a couple Toads may help as well. It helps to stall in a slow deck. Also hits for Weakness on Flareon and other Fire Pokemon.

Multiple float stone are not bad at all in metal decks. They are great to stick onto a bronzong if it gets stranded into the active. The 1 Keldeo is not always going to be there so its always good to have a backup plan to retreat.

Hey man! Would you kindly write that decklist down as an actual formatted decklist so people can help you without having to load up a separate page altogether? Thanks, mate!

Overall it is a pretty good deck list, but there are a couple flaws.

1. You have too much draw support. You run 11 draw support cards, 3 VS seekers, and 2 Shaymins! All that is not needed, so drop one or two draw support cards.

2. Add 2 Double Colorless Energy. Why you don't have this is beyond me. Every one of your attackers benefits from it (Dialga's Full Metal Impact, Aegislash's Slash Blast, and Shaymin's Sky Return)!

3. Drop one Bronzong and Brozor. No metal deck, including my own, ever runs a 4-4 line, You just don't need that many out on the bench.

4. Drop one Float Stone. Since you run Keldeo, you don't need this many Float Stones. They are only useful on Keldeo and Bronzong, plus with your draw support you will be fine.

5. Add one Heatran PHF. This card is great in the current format, for when opponents Pokemon limit EX's (attacks, abilities, etc.)!

Other than those 5 edits your deck list seems pretty good, hope this helped! :)
