Let me get this straight:

Lugia guardian of the sea.
Kyorgre rules the sea.
Manaphy prince of the sea.
Phione offspring of the Prince of the Sea.

What?

A lot of the legendary have similar roles...

But then, what is the point of having more than one Pokemon for one role? It is like having 50 cats to catch one mouse.

Lugia is like the doggy that takes care of the sea, Guard dog
Kyogre is the ruler like the god of the sea controls everything
Manaphy a prince that gets respect from other pokemon
phione is the offspring:)

Could it be like a water kind of thing
Where one rules one

One guardian ect...ect

If this is true then they will probably have to do the same ordeal with the sky aswell

Ho-oh maybe?
But I think it's a master of fire or something

Here is a noodle buster (for me at least :p). If Arceus is said to be the original (first) one, then how was IT created?

Single cell, which creates a organism over time ( I like science)

Regigigas controls the regi's and is the leader to the ice temple

Ok let me straiten some stuff out:

Manaphy rules nothing it just is a near extinct species that protected the sea temple.

Dialga governs time in other realms and dimensions etc.

Rayquaza keeps the balance with Kyogre and Groudon Ho-Oh rules the sky.

Lugia is the guardian of the ocean not ruler.

and I think a 2nd gen remake on the ds would be good as they were the best selling games and incorporate the 1st gen pokemon as well.
