All 132 regular cards from Ancient Roar and Future Flash have just been revealed by the official Japanese TCG website! The dual set releases in Japan next Friday, October 27th.
Our upcoming Paradox Rift set will be comprised of many cards from this set, Raging Surf, and the Tera Mewtwo & Skeledirge ex Decks.
Paradox Rift releases November 3rd, but prereleases take place starting tomorrow. This means English players will get to use a handful of brand new cards from Paradox Rift during this weekend’s prereleases — before Japan gets those cards next week in Ancient Roar & Future Flash! This is one of the few times a Japanese set is releasing...

This is the stuff cut from Paradox Rift.
fun fact: this is now the 2nd time in a row camerupt's english release has been delayed. the obsidian flames camerupt was part of paldea evolved's japanese release.

Yeah the rest of the reveals don't really change my thoughts about the set. A select set of new cards that are fairly useful in various places, and a lot of stuff that is "Fun, but not good", which is still a breath of fresh air from Obsidian Flop. We're back to around what it should be.

Earthen Vessel and Jirachi (from Raging Surf) definitely feel like the best cards overall. Counter Catcher feels like a strong contender if designed to, as does Iron Valiant ex.

I've definitely said my piece before in that Iron Hands needs quite a bit of playtesting or theory-oh to justify having a role in the deck you want to use it in, and think quite a few people are well overhyping the card without doing that time... especially when you have statements like "This is the new ADP". No, no it is not.

As far as the fun stuff I'm interested in at this point, that's Ancient Parabox and Gholdengo ex.

I tried handtesting Ancient Parabox stuff, and the problem I had was that you either make a build that can go second and attack turn 1 reliably, or you make a build that doesn't automatically die to a poorly timed Iono. Doing both feels compromising. Fun stuff, but gotta figure out where to pump the brakes or if there's a more reliable way to set up.

Japan has tried a lot of different stuff to go with Gholdengo, including different draw engines, supplementary single prize attackers, Tech water attackers and engines, straight up hybriding it with Chien Pao, and the possibility of making it a Zoroark-centric deck. I still think it will come up short competitively due to how many energy you need at points, but it's got a lot of room to experiment with different ideas casually. You won't get tired building the deck, even if it is a petdeck for locals.

On another note, I really expected for this set to contain more gimmick (Ancient/Future) Pokemon. Seems like we didnt get anything new other than what had been revealed. Maybe next set? Because at the moment, as good as Sada's Vitality sound on paper, there arent any good targets other than Roaring Moon.

Well, it's not like there are tons of Paradox to go around. This is more inline with the Ultra Beasts tag than the Rapid/Single/Fusion Strike that they could slap on any pokémon without a problem. We really are only missing 4 of the paradoxes from the base game (6 if you count the legendaries). SV5 should focus on Walking Wake and Iron Leaves, so it's kinda given that they should continue expanding the Ancient/Future mechanic for at least another set.

Okay, so I'm gonna make a crazy comment here (and if the answer to the question I'm about to pose is "no", feel free to remove this comment for violating rules about discussing leaks), BUT... there have been images of some of the English Paradox Rift cards floating around for the past couple days. Do you think those cards might have come from shops opening their Prerelease kits early to show off the pulls, kind of like how Japanese shops open the booster boxes to show the pulls on social media?

That's not crazy, that's literally what happened. People get product early all the time.

That's what I thought! I thought those English cards were stolen from a factory at first, but then I realized what the date was today. It's pretty close to Prerelease time, shops are probably receiving their shipments of prerelease kits by now and decided to open some of 'em up to gauge pull rates and show off the pulls

Do you need an energy attached to Porygon-Z to use his ability
