These decks will release alongside Japan’s Lost Abyss on July 15th for 2,700 yen each.

Zeraora VSTAR should be a Rapid Strike. But still, Crashing Beat is just terrible for 3 energies. I guess its because we have flaaffy? ?‍?‍

Zeraora Vmax would be a pretty solid card if it weren't for Urshifu's existence. A lot of decks are heavy on pokemon with abilities - a dunsparce, crobat, inteleon, palkia/arceus all add up pretty quick in terms of damage inflicted

Zeraora VSTAR should be a Rapid Strike. But still, Crashing Beat is just terrible for 3 energies. I guess its because we have flaaffy? ?‍?‍

I may be biased in saying this, but I honestly do feel Deoxys VSTAR’s extra effect for its main attack is better than Zeraora VSTAR’s in my opinion. Zeraora discarding Stadiums is neat and all, whereas Deoxys at least guarantees that if your opponent has a benched V, you can get a 60 sniped on it. Not worth a Telescopic Sight, but Psy Jav at least 3HKOs Crobat and Lumineon, which can be Volo’d even so.
I do feel Zeraora would benefit for being a Rapid Strike, but the only problem is that Rapid Strike Energy wouldn’t really help it and there isn’t really any Rapid Strike tech to assist Electric that I remember at the moment. Flaaffy is pretty much the only Pokémon support I remember, alongside Stormy Mountain as a Stadium.

I guess the plus side of playing Zeraora is that you can turbo attack with Raikou V first which also gives you that extra draw into your hand. Deoxys kind of needs cresselia or Zacian V CEL to grab those energies as i don't see any promising Psychic Energy supports in standard as yet, except maybe gardevoir CRE. Shadow rider would be pretty terrible since its a vmax which can get bossed for 3 prize if your opponent play a Galarian Moltres. So, i would kinda lean towards Zeraora here. Love the VMAX though. Deoxys VMAX would work so well since psychic/ fairy type has so many heal cards (suspicious food tin, clefable, indeedee V, etc). But you kinda need mesprit since darkness decks are so popular these days. Also, reaction pulse is super cool since so many decks rely on abilities now. Looking forward to playing them both. ?
