The full set list has been revealed for China’s next compilation set, CS5 Brave Stars, which will release on June 18th.
China’s set features 14 cards from 2022’s Pokemon GO with new artwork that hasn’t released anywhere else in the world. This is one of the few times a country outside of Japan is getting new cards or artwork. (Some recent examples include England’s Futsal promos or the anachronism promos for Celebrations, like Dark Sylveon V.)

I never thought a supposed Pokemon Go set would be so lax in it's theming...and how botched it would end up being. Like, yeah, there's a few cards that you could theoretically imagine being AR+ snapshots...like maybe 10 years from now...like the Mewtwo secret art, along with some of the regular arts, like Charizard, Snorlax, or Slowpoke, for instance. But like...this could have easily been something AMAZING for Niantic AND TPCI to promote Go with...like, having the ENTIRE SET be of actual pics taken, with TODAY'S AR+ feature in the game! Niantic recently updated the whole system, too! Like, a month ago! We've literally seen this happen in the past too, with Pokemon Snap, as well! (Just...don't ask TPCI what happened to New Snap. They probably forgot it existed too, despite it being by far the best Gen 8 Pokemon game.)

But...no. Of course none of that actually happened. TPCI is too busy screaming at Gamefreak to have the next generation's game ready by yesterday. Why can't we just return to the simpler times, ala the Snap contest? :/

Love the hue shifting on the Alolan Rattata card! Really makes it pop. And getting another Dsuke art for the Charmeleon is a treat. Fascinating mixture of shading techniques there. I'm looking forward to seeing some higher quality scans once they become available.

What! They cut the Blastoise? Sure, it may not have been meta, but it saw some niche play in Origin Forms Dialga VSTAR a while ago in Japan, which is more than Venusaur can say. *Pulls up the Pokémon GO set on pkmncards, which I can say now because our card database died with the old website* Oh dear. They left out the Legendary Birds, too. Zapdos has been a tech in Miraidon decks on several occasions, and Articuno and Moltres have seen some play too. And then there's the absence of some revised version of Pokéstop. Perhaps they couldn't even change the name, much less the artwork, but Pokéstop has to have been the most widely played card in the set. Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.

Well, at least Solrock, Lunatone and probably Ditto and Radiant Charizard had their Crown Zenith artwork featured.

Is there a reason that there's a big fat Smeargle in the Bibarel GO card art? Like, is it a part of a bigger picture or something? I don't get the concept

Smeargle is only accessible in Go through it photobombing other Pokemon when you use the camera feature.

Maybe we will see these arts in that new Pokémon tcg app? The art on these cards look great

they havent made a themed set in years, now all they do is take a bajillion side products and sets and fuse them into weird abominations without a theme, very lame

They are likely going to scatter the Pokémon Go cards across all sets from their SWSH "year 3". Just because they weren't featured in one set doesn't mean they are cut altogether.

TPC, not TPCi. TPCi has no power. And TPC answers to Game Freak, not the other way around.

Sincerely don't believe that. Gamefreak always likes to add themselves into each game somewhere. Even in games that were clearly rushed out, like SWSH. Yet, in SV, among all the countless other things that got cut and axed, they were also the only main series games to date that didn't include Gamefreak themselves in the game in some form. Are you really telling me that Gamefreak was the one pushing THEMSELVES to rush the game out the door? No. That's not how it works. At all.

It’s a Pokémon GO feature. When you take a snapshot of your buddy you can be photobombed by a Smeargle (which you can then go and catch). Hence the card art :)
