XY Alternate Form for Zygarde?

Xerneas and Yveltal look perfect. They don't need an upgrade. They also don't look like they could mevo. Zygrade looks like it could. Z's BST are also lower.

Zygarde is actually a worm.

What if, for once, Xerneas, Yveltal, AND Zygarde got upgrades? Xerneasite, Yveltalite, and Zygardite sound pretty sweet to me...

It's a worm?! Then... what's with the scales and being a dragon type?

I believe the more appropriate spelling of the term would be "wurm." Anyhoo, yes, Zygarde desparately needs a new form, he is pitiful in comparison to Xerneas and Yveltal. Those stats are horrible, and the design isn't great either. However, I cant decide whether a new form or a mega evolution is more likely...

Both are correct spellings.

I never saw Zygarde as a worm at all. I always believed he was based off of the dragon Níðhöggr living in Yggdrasil.

I find it hard to believe that Kalos Pokemon have no Mega Evolutions when the mechanic is only found in that region. I think that Z will see the introduction of Mega Evolutions for Kalos natives.

I can see why they didn't do it, I mean if they gave Noivern a mega evo people would just ask why he doesn't have just a third evolve form. Same goes for Scizor and Abamasnow. Why not just have them evolve, but it makes sense for Charizard and all of the others because they don't break there sacred rule of a forth evolve form. So mega evos were just a way around a rule they made, and a not too shabby battle idea.

As for who should get a mega evo? I really don't know. There were so many Pokemon I felt should evolve again, or should have evolved in the first place (Carbink....I'm looking at you) I guess Klefki and Carbink could use something. Goodra maybe with a defense and attack upgrade in his mega evo form. And definitely the legendaries because everyone is doing it obviously.

A lot of evos are the same as well though. Even in X and Y, goomy turns into a bigger slug, then the bigger slug gets legs.

Fennekin learns to stand up, Froakie changes the least I think actually, he just gets an attitude.

Some of the mega evos are very serious changes as well though and would change extremely how that Pokemon lives. Mane trick gains a huge tumor like growth, Gengar grows another leg and another eye, Ampharos gets a sweet mullet (maybe not that one)

Sure some mega evos don't change much but a lot of evolve forms do the same

I've never pictured Zygarde as a worm. It has always reminded me of a 'kingly' serpent, because of it's frills, it looks like a King Snake. (Arbok)
I'm interested to see what signifigance Zygard's hexagonal patters will play in the future. If it gains an alternate form, will it keep the hexagonal patterns?
I like what MrSquarepants said about it being a snake and shedding it's skin. I could definitely see Zygarde being a huge colossal creature waiting to brake out of it's 'cacoon.' Once again, I wonder if it's hexagonal patterns have something to do with it's sking breaking/shedding?

Why do you all keep saying that Zygarde is a "wurm"?
I looked up the definition of 'wurm' and here's the only definition: the fourth stage of the glaciation of Eurasia during the Pleistocene.
Although I feel Zygarde is more of a serpent, I could understand that some see it as a worm. But not a wurm....

If you really think it's not a snake, then he would be properly classed as a wyrm.

Okay, I'm surprised that didn't pop up online when I looked it up.

I still stand against Zygarde being a 'wurm'. Those mythological creatures are described as having horns. They were also said to be evil with maliciousness, well Zygarde is the Pokémon of order, from what we know so far, it's not evil. "While mythological Dragons are thought to be based from wurms, they are completely different creatures." Uhh, Zygarde is a Dragon type... I kind of see how people could think that Zygarde is based off of a wurm. But it mostly resembles a serpent.

Getting back on the topic of Zygarde gaining an alternate form. If it does get an alternate form, it would make more sense that it's based off of a serpent. Because, snakes shed their skin, that could easily be a clever way for Game Freak to integrate a form change or mega evolution for Zygarde. It sheds it 'skin', then we see it's true powerful form.

I always thought he would get another forme but thats based off of his appearance for me.

He has no face. no arms, he just LOOKS like ...a cacoon..

To me it wouldnt make sense for him to get another look. a

I think Zygarde's pretty neat already, but as a Grass/Dragon... That would make it an instant favorite.
