Am I on a dying site?

Is this site about to die? Thats what I am getting. An entire sectiion is going to be removed and thats where I seem like I will have fun. Yet, it would appear Forum Games and More is going to be deleted. So, I am getting the feeling soon the whole website is going down.

Does anybody else get that feeling?
 
It's not going down. The hope is that the opposite will happen. By deleting the Forum Games & More, we're trying to get the traffic to move to other parts of the website.
 
PokeBeach is far from dying. The near future looks like it could turn out to be the best this site has seen.
 
If you're here just for the forum games you should probably re-evaluate your life choices.

It's alright. Changes like this happen all the time! It's what we do to keep renewing the forums.

This. The unintelligent gamey section is dying. That isn't what the website wants to work on... we want to focus on TCG and VGC discussions. The whole website is being improved, but the unimportant sections are dying.
 
Not unless you joined for YPPY games. I will miss RPGs, but PB isn't dying.

Couldn't have said it better myself. This forum wasn't made for games.
 
If a member joins for the games then yes they should never join any forum, but I always thought of it more as a place to blow off steam. The death of a forum isn't based around what forums have been dropped but what hasn't been dropped that gets no attention. Or stealing attention, in Pokebeach's case.
 
The forum isn't dying. If you joined to play YPPY games then you must have quite a sad life, no offence.

Lol it was only the most posted it and why alot of people joined...that's all xD

It's not gonna die...it's just gonna get more "focused". The closest thing we have to game places now is the entertainment and games forum...better hold onto that thing for dear life :p
 
If you want to have a tree grow well, you have to cut off the sick/dead branches to keep it from being a burden to the tree. Likewise, the Game Corner was an area of needless posts where people thought they could feel significant as anyone could post in without too much trouble. Removing it would clear out that and allow focus to be on other parts of the site for improvement.

That was the point...it was were anyone could post and be welcomed. If a new person posts in the VG section or TCG section they may not get such a welcome and they would be inclined to quit. Why kill a place that kills the tension? I don't know
 
You want to get attention? Go to FB or something. Pokemon Forums are intended to talk about Pokemon and simply that.
 
I think what catutie means is that the Game Corner provided a place where members with a non-competitive interest in Pokemon could socialise and, more relevantly, have fun. But I think that our Misc forum and especially the chatroom (give it a whirl guys!) do enough to accommodate for this sort of thing. I'm actually anticipating a slight increase in activity for both of those areas now that Game Corner is being removed.
 
It's dying because Pokemon sites like this are greedy, and therefore fragmented. Each site wants to prove its the best news source out there, when the truth is we don't care. We want an active, resourceful site, and I think the only way you can achieve it is by merging multiple sites together (e.g. Serebii + Pokebeach into one site, one forum). It sounds stupid and probably won't ever happen, but that's the true solution to the decline. People see one site has one or two tiny features the others do not, and suddenly they're gone.
 
To sum up this thread:

No, you're not. If you're going to bawww about the loss of the game corner, door's right over there. If you're willing to stick around and see what kind of changes we're planning to make this site better, you are more than welcome to stick around and be cool and perhaps be a respected member of the community. :]
