Ancient Origins [8/15, aka Bandit Ring]

This scares me. If either Kyogre or Groudon get a good Ancient Trait then they are going to be extremely expensive. :( :( :(

Unless we get more new ATs, PGroudon and PKyogre will be objectively worse than their current versions assuming they get a known Theta Trait

SO BEAUTIFUL!!! I really wonder if this is a secret rare in the English set. It seems like it would be, but it is kind of strange that a secret rare would not only be on a pack art, but also as a Jumbo in a promo box.

Unbelievable artwork, decent ancient trait :) Its D/P format everyone! We now have a great colourless pokemon *cough* garchomp C *cough* that is powerful AND can heal its damage ...

I certainly never ever saw that one coming :p

14 was the minimum number of FAs anyway since we've got 11 RRs and 3 known special Shiny FA URs.

I'm sure they won't, as said before, Alpha Growth and Omega Barrier are the ones that make the cards playable(Kyogre especially, playing a deck with him really shows he needs Growth.) I haven't played groudon but I have gone against him, and the barrier effect made it a bit challenging. Basically, unless they get better traits(It's unlikely, Kyogre needs his energy acceleration.), then they'll be middle of the line.

I'm not impressed with the Gardevoir. It is uncharacteristically bad.

>all these Gardevoir

We haven't had a vanilla Gardevoir since LTR, and that was what, seven sets ago?

While they may seem worse I could easily see them being played as one-ofs.

You never know. They could do something crazy like stick Ω Barrage or Δ Plus on one. That's extremely unlikely based on the way that they are doing things right now but possible. θ Double could be decent on Kyogre and θ Max (Probably would be played as a one-of) could be decent on Groudon (Sash makes it kind of useful).

I mean including EXs. I just think Gardevoir comes up a bit too often. It's not close to the monkey trio, pikachu, etc. But there's still a lot of them.

Keyword decent. θ Double would not provide the somewhat speed kyogre has, but maybe it would be useful., if there could be energy acceleration in there other than Mega Turbo. But maybe Groudon could see a bit of use. If they actually put Delta Plus one one of them, then it would be different.

Kyogre has built in energy acceleration which is nice. Double might give it exactly what it needs (Hard Charm lets it actually stand a chance against Ray). The Double Kyogre (if printed) would likely only be played as a one-of. If energy acceleration worries you then I guess you could run EXP Share. Kyogre honestly isn't that viable right now but Double could make it slightly better (that is if the Grass support doesn't kill it off completely).

That is true, a double Kyogre might be okay. But if you took away the Alpha Growth, then youre taking out one of it's biggest features. Unless you could have one Shiny one, put the energy switch from a normal one into the shiny, switching out using keldeo, and then using the shiny one. It's kinda clunky, but at least the way I play it(Have one kyogre set up, and then move the energy to another, switch with keldeo, rinse and repeat.), once it sets up it might work. Having double on it has potential, Muscle banding it gives it OHKO's to 170-HP EXs, Hard charm like you said, and more.

Soooo 14 SR's mean that there are no FA supporters in this set!!! 11 FA to account for all the RR's And the last 3 for the shinys.
