Anything I can add on to this banner without making it look ugly?

I decided when I didn't have internet for a while that I would put an hour or two into a good piece of Arcanine artwork. I wanted it to be a good, if not reccomendable banner. I came across a conundrum, I can't think of anything else to add. Sure it could be a peacefull looking banner but the way I have put it makes it look like it needs that little extra something. Well here it is:

I can edit almost anything, distant flames were made from scratch, Arcanine drawn by by me. All layers in tact and seperated apart from the distant flames effect. They were once 3 layers of Red, Orange and Yellow, they are now one and I can't edit them.

The problem with the logo is that there are too many shades for shapes that were meant to be simple, and there are many attempts to fix it (light outline, etc) trying to balance it out. If I were you, reduce the logo to a very dark brown color and a very light one (for the light and the dark parts) this way both colors will be easily visible on the standard brown background. Also, fix it a bit so it's easier to see it's meant to be an Arcanine (personally, it took me a while to recognize what it is)

Put the "Delta" on the top right corner (with a sharp font that matches the logo), this way you can put a picture of a real Arcanine on the left on the black background.

I was thinking of adding a colour overlay, the same colour as the background, do you think it would be better at 100% opacity and ignore the colour all together?
I first did a colour replacement tool around the emblem and found it didn't do much.

I mean simplify your colors. Like simplify the colors of the logo to pure black and white at 80 opacity or something. Redraw it if you have to. Simple looks good.

Backgrounds look better simple too, but if you added an overlay, that might put it too close to pure brown, which is just uninteresting.

How about some text directly above the "Delta" on the bottom left, in the same font and blurriness?

I am not sure what I can do with a simple arcanine in the bottom left corner. Of course I would add some kind of graphics to it but nothing woud fit. I think the simple words 'Arcanine' or a slogan, of some kind, would fit nicely; the "Delta" doesn't have to be there, it is just there to show where the text would be.

Adding onto the overlay query - I mean adding an overlay to the Arcanine, not the background.

All right then. Taking a longer look at that, if there's a problem about empty space, I'd say it comes from the banner being too tall. I'm not sure what you've anchord and what you haven't, but I think it'd look better as a shorter, narrower banner.

Height is definitely too tall. The picture's top side is probably at the height you set to completely show the flames above. However, reducing the height would bring a simplistic background into a more profound focus.

lol if you dont mind me speaking frankly I think it'd look better without the fuzzy "delta" word at the corner and the arcanine thingy (it looks weird with the outer glow)
