Arceus TCG: To much Power?

Legendaries always seem to suck in the TCG, even if they are the most uber thing in any other media. (Not counting Lugia ex.)

Anyway, it'll probably be released in a year in JP.

Well since movie 11 will be released in the US around September, we probably wont be seeing arceus until late 2009.

They usually make this type of powerful pokemon very dificult to use (you know, charizard star style) but if you look at mewtwo lv. x its a great, useful and powerful card!!!!!!!so who knows.

Quick question: Why are we trying to rate a non-existant card?

That said, the odds are certainly not in Arc's favor. Few cards are good. This is true of any card game. There's honestly only 2-3 really good cards in the average set.

Are we sure Arc's even in the next movie?

I agree. All legendaries are not very established in the card game, is arceus different? NO!

Most likely because usually the most important legendary pokemon are saved for movies [dialga /palkia for instance]

They'll either make arceus bad mewtwo d style or impossible to use like gyarados star d. The only legendary that impressed me was mew star. That card made wonders in the delta days.

Groudon and kyogre were important and they where in the show, just as ho-oh, so u cant assume that arceus is in a movie

The TCG is alot different then the video games and the tv show by that I mean Pikachu is not crazy I can beat anything like in the show and Mewtwo is hey I'm moderately decent but not one of the best if you understand what I'm saying. Take a look at Dialga and Palkia their normal cards kinda suck anyways with the release of Arceus in the tcg I expect either some really cool items or a lvl X

I wouldn't be suprised if they released a tin wih Arceus Lv. X BEFORE they release (if they ever release) the normal Arceus.

do i know you sonicx08 cuz i know someone who always says narutard. well i think the arceus card will be sick it probably will have the move final judgement 4 100-150 for like 2 or 3 energy (possibly even colorles energy but then again it may take 1darkness [/color]1water and 1steel. like dialga, palkia, and darkrai.

I would say it could be a Secret Rare, like TSD, same border.

Maybe, stat wise :

Arceus
Colorless 140 HP

Power : Color Shift
Once during your turn, you may choose a Basic Energy attached to Arceus. Arceus is now that type until the end of your opponent's next turn.

C Origin Power
Flip a coin for each different Basic Energy attached to Arceus. This attack does 20x the number of heads.

CCC Judgement
Flip two coins. If both are heads, the Defending Pokémon is Knocked Out. If both are tails, Arceus is Knocked Out. If one is heads, put 6 damage counters on the Defending Pokémon.

Weakness 0, Resistance 0, Retreat 1.

The TCG is the place where little kids without all the ub3r-rarez can still win games. I'm glad most Legendaries are pretty worthless, since they're mostly collector's items for kids anyway.

I don't get this at all. The first one is Ho-oh, but way weaker. Yet they are both just plain old Basics, so I wonder why that is.
The 2nd attack is an idiotic lucker-only attack. Even the new Jirachi is better...
But the 140 HP and 0 weakness makes it into a stalling machine, which should not be a property of a Basic imo. Also, with both attacks being flippy and the 2nd not even dealing actual damage, it wouldn't be able to benefit from its Body in any way.

Ho-Oh needs 4 energy, so it balances out. Thats the whole idea of the second attack. How about :

Arceus
Colorless 120 HP

Power : Color Shift
Once during your turn, you may choose a Basic Energy attached to Arceus. Arceus is now that type until the end of your opponent's next turn.

CC Origin Power 50

CCC Judgement
Flip two coins. If both are heads, the Defending Pokémon is Knocked Out. If both are tails, Arceus is Knocked Out. If one is heads, put 8 damage counters on the Defending Pokémon.

Weakness 0, Resistance 0, Retreat 2.

The reason why Legendary Pokémon that would be Ubers anywhere else are often pretty weak in the card game is because the TCG is the one branch that treats them on an equal level with ordinary Pokémon. Their potential is also often pretty low because they don't evolve and are thus easy to put in a deck and easy to use.

It's as simple as that. If you make them powerful, no one's going to use anything else. Of course, it's not like the TCG metagame isn't like that right now with non-Legendaries.

Yeah arceus will be cool. And the Narutard thing is just a coincidence.
