I'm new to this, so don't hate please, thanks.
So my friend had this deck idea, it was a Swampert(Ancient Origins) deck. It basically ran like a Keldeo EX deck, except without a Blastoise to pump energy onto it, it use its ancient trait (Alpha Growth). This was working really well for him, it was a very solid deck build and it provided very good coverage for most of the meta right now.
One weakness that I saw could be exposed in this deck was its speed. The deck was very slow, as Swampert is a stage 2 pokemon, and the only two ways to get the swampert out would be by evolution (theoretically taking 3 turns without Wally) or by rare candy (Yes, he did run skyla, but again, it would take at least 2 turns.) Enter Archie's Ace in the Hole.
On TCG One, I tested a almost brand new deck list using Archie's. It ran the same concept as before, attach two energy per turn with Swamperts Alpha Growth, but instead of using rare candies to evolve, I just placed the Swampert on my bench using an Archie's. This proceeded to be extremely reliable for both an Archie's deck and a normal deck, almost every game (I played around 20) starting off with the pieces I needed to get that first turn Swampert out on my bench. Here's the decklist:
Pokèmon: 13
First things to point out: Yes, those are Wobbuffets. And yes, those are Regice. This deck runs 2 Shaymin EX, as a backup in case you can’t pull off that turn one Archie’s. To eliminate the possibility of getting that godforsaken Shaymin start, I put in a bunch of pretty solid basics to start the game off with. The Wobbuffet is great if your opponent is running a Ability based deck, which is almost any deck running that amazing Hoopa EX. The Regice are your backup attackers, they will stall just long enough for you to power up that Swampert and start taking those OHKOs. Now you might be saying, “but how are you going to get those pokemon out of that active spot?” Well, luckily for you, this deck runs 4 Float Stone. I think that this is an essential part of this deck, as it doesn’t run any switches or super scoop ups, the float stones are needed for that mobility. The more standard stuff in this deck includes battle compressor, Lysandre, Sycamore, and Ultra Ball. I run 1 Xerosic and 2 Head Ringer; these come in handy if you ever are in a tight spot against a powerful EX deck which are becoming more and more common. The singular Town Map is also important, as this deck runs only one of three staple supporters in this deck, it’s important to know where it is so you can get if it needed.
In conclusion, this decklist is a very reliable version and downsized version of the Keldeo EX deck from back in the day, and sets up faster than many other standard decks right now. The deck is also pretty cheap, the most expensive card (besides the Shaymin) being VS seeker or Wobbuffet. Please give this deck a try, and leave some ideas about weaknesses in the comments so I can address them!
