Are we going to have a Wi-Fi Plaza section for those who have Platinum?

I am wondering because a lot of siyes have that but they call it Platinum Wi-Fi Terminal or Wi-Fi Terminal Platinum only. Could our be called Platinum Wi-Fi Plaza like it is called in the games so those who have Platinum can setup times to do anything Wi-Fi? All we have is a Battle Stadium and Trade Center but nothing for Pffin cooking or the Mini games that Platinum has to offer. Just and idea as it is becoming very popular everywhere else and it is something this forum does not have yet.:)
 
C88 it is becoming Popular everywhere on forums now and is becoming a staple to the Pokemon games. Soon it will be common knoledge. It is growing fast. If you look at community Forums and Serebii Forums you will se Sub forums or a whole other forum to post threads or requests if need be. We are the only ones that don't have that yet. That is why I asked about it and suggested it XD.:)

And I will express my same view on those games as I always have, It is 100% pointless to put them anywhere else but in a trade thread. ANYTHING relating to DS Wi-Fi connection and the Pokemon games suck. The games while may look appealing, they aren't that great. Plus if you look at it what more is a trade thread then a place to get battle requests, and suggest them. Trade pokemon, and suggest trades. The same concept could easily be applied for a trade thread with the games. Just simply put a sub-section in stating what games you will play and stuff. It's not hard, and it fits better in a trade thread which imo is used more as a connection thread, then in a separate forum. Adding a sub-forum, or forum for these games which could easily be put in a trade thread is pointless.

C88 Have you looked at Serebii forums or the PokeCommunity forums? They BOTH HAVE A SEPERATE FORUM and yes they are active forums and at least 5- 10 posts a week are posted in the forum. If you might have not noticed we now have a thread in the trade forum and is stickied now. I made the thread today so we have something to that nature since it is slowly becoming more poular. There are a lot of members who play the Mini games the Poffin cooking or the battle frontier so yes it is needed here. You may or may not know Wi-Fi is online battling and there are interuptions like like with a computer. It is bound to happen. You can't have a perfect feed all the time. Why do you bash Wi-Fi so much anyway. You may not understand but I use the Wi-Fi just like I would a regular computer and when I VC I ask if anyone is on the forums. It is much easier than a computer sometimes and I use the Wi-Fi for that purpose. That is what it is for. I hope you understand why I prefer Wi-Fi. I happen to enjoy Wi-Fi and yes it is fun because I prefer chatting more than typing anyway.:)
 
If you look at Serrebii and Poke Community Forums you will see a sub forum on each site either called Platinum/HG/SS Wi-Fi Terminal or Platinum HG/SS Wi-Fi Forum. It is for those who play the mini games battle in the Battle Frontier Share battle videos and everything else Wi-Fi outside of trading and battling. That is why I made that thread the other day and had it stickied so members can post their invites and requests for the extra stuff that Platinum and HG/SS have to offer. Other forums are making sub-forums for this so we needed something to that effect here. As we did not have anything like that at all until that thread I made the other day was made for that purpose and ZI hear other forums are doing the same thing also and they have mod(s) assigned to that area on each forum so there is hardly any spam. As long as there are mods on assignment and check th reads in that section as there as posts then it will be kept clean. Because a trade thread is for trading/battling and they do not allow service like we do here so they have a seperate forum for all of that. Now that we have something like that members can post in there for mini games the Battle Frontier and everything else that Platinum and HG/SS has to offer. Check out other forums to see what they do. It may seem pointless but actually it is a great idea.:)
 
I just don't think it would be too popular. Wifi Plaza only having a few games makes me think it really isn't worth it. Sure you have the Battle Frontier, but still unless you are going for ribbons for the wifi win streak at Battle Tower, there is no significant advantage to doing it over wifi. If you could actually get the symbols by doing the facilities via wifi, then maybe it wouldn't be so bad. This site is actually geared more toward the TCG side of things, although there are some members that do both such as myself. Serebii has a lot more members and that is why it can support it. It would just seem to be a forum that almost never gets used. I know there used to be a thread that had everyone's friend codes. I don't know if it is still stickied or not, but you could browse through it to see who has wifi and ask them in a PM if they would like to do the Battle Frontier or wifi plaza. I still think just using trade threads for it would be fine. Perhaps the "Battle Now" thread could be used to ask for Battle Frontier wifi facilities.
 
Guys don't be harsh on xxashxx. He has a good idea. I think we could make a thread saying to do it now , like The Battle Now Thread! We could call it, The Mini-Games Now! Thread. I don't think we need a seperate section for it.

That right there is the problem. Think for a second. We already have a stickied thread and nobody has posted in it at all. What would be the point of another whole Forum dedicated to it? It would be useless that's what.

No one knows that it is there except for the 78 users that have seen it but I don't know if they know what it is for though.:)
 
Okay here let me show tell you this. IF anyone wanted to play those games with others, they would have LOOKED for a thread. So I for the sake of testing sent my friend to find your thread, and monitored him. He scrolled down to the Video Games section, and knowing that most battling is geared towards Shoddy now, he looked for the one option which made sense, in the trading corner, since on shoddy you don't trade and it uses wi-fi. 1st guess.

Now if a member had no clue what forum it would be in we have this neat button:

Now tell me that if anyone actually wanted yo use these games, that they would not have found some way to search on the forums for one.

It's pointless to make a forum for, besides with your thread everything should be fine. And if interest rises probably by a large amount 50-100 people most likely maybe a sub-forum would be needed.

Okay now look at this. 80 Users have viewed your thread from my last check, and yet from Feburary 15, to Feburary 19th we have ABSOLUTELY no posts, except 1 from you on the same day it was posted, and 80 views. Surely any sort of idea that had supporters and wasn't pointless would have 100-150 views, and atleast 25 posts, in my opinion. I mean look at those threads in the Micellanous section, a thread gets posted in which people are interested in and people will post. Maybe not a bunch of people are interested in it but they get views and posts if the idea for the thread is not pointless.

So hopefully I have showed you now, the sticky should do fine for now, and sub-forum is not needed.

Note: I did not bash Wi-Fi during that post which you claim I do.
 
C88 the way you stated in your made me think that you were bashing Wi-Fi. Members will eventually post in my thread. The majrity don't have Platinum or HG/SS yet so when HG/SS comes out here it should become usefull which is less than a month now. There are only a few here with the Japanese HG/SS and the members that have Platinum can't be here because of school. When these forums pick up again in about 120 days or so it will be useful. Don't worry it will soon.:)

Can you explain your definition of bashing then Charizard88? I think this quote is what xxashxx was referring to.
 
I don't even know why it was placed as a sticky in the first place. We already established it would be a waste of a sticky, and the fact that a mod actually tested its usefulness as a sticky, proves the point even more.
 
LL we have to have something stickied to compete with other forum. Other forums have a sub forum and before that was made we did not have anything that supported that area for the Wi-Fi Plaza mini games or the Battle frontier. No one may not post in it yet but eventually there will be more use out of the thread. Everyone with Platinum or HG/SS will use it once more members have HG/SS and Platinum. The majority here don't have Platinum yet but there is a lot of members that have Platinum but more than half the members here don't have it yet but are either getting it soon or are planning on getting it. It might be sluggish for awhile because everyone is busy with school right now. Don't worry if it is not used yet it will be soon.:) Be thankful that our forum has it. There are a lot of things I have had added to these forums and if it were not for me you guys might nit have had the rules I have suggested or the treads that are needed for these forums. You guys are very lucky because the things I have done to make this place better are the ideas I don't think anyone has thought of yet. Be thankful it is there now rather than later.:)
 
Well Platinum has been out for almost a year; I would say that that was a reasonable amount of time to get enough players to like doing the Wifi Plaza or Battle Frontier. Having to have it stickied just proves how few people use it.
