Welcome to the third Artisan Cave Contest!​

Artisan cave is a clan focused on the artists of PokeBeach. If you'd like to join, or just have a look around, click here.​

In this contests entrants will be tasked with drawing a pokemon of thier choice by hand. Sketches and computer drawn images will be accepted, however they must be of your own design. Do not modify the work of others or claim it as your own. If you have any questions about another form of media feel free to post here.

How the entries are to be judged:
  • There will not be public voting, judges will decide amongst themselves what entry is best based on the following criteria.
  • Is the entry an original design? It cannot be copied, modified, taken ect. That means no TCG or Ken Sugimori images.
  • Is the entry either sketched by hand or drawn with a computer drawing program? It should be.
  • Is the image a convincing imitation of a existing pokemon? Feel free to add your own flair, but judges should still be able to tell what pokemon it is.
  • Does the image make use of color, shading, and other techniques to make the pokemon look more realistic? It should.
There are currently open judge positions for this contest. PM me if you feel you can judge responsibly by the above criteria.

The deadline for this contest is September 15th at 10 AM CDT. Get your entries in! The winner will recieve a personalized trophy made by artisan cave's top spriters (for examples of previous trophies see the mian artisan cave thread).
 
cool a new contest... i'll try to participate.... if i don't get creamed buy akida and his/her drawings :F

This shouldn't have to be bumped...its a good idea...
 
If you think about it it really does need to stay bumped. We can't have the thread inactive for two weeks and then when all the entries come in it gets locked. And, good idea or not, not many people are likely to post until thier entry is complete.

It also helps so that people who didn't originaly see it look, since it will be briefly at the top of the forum.
 
I know, but it shouldn't HAVE to be. Its a good idea, and more people should be joining...
 
That's easy! Sign up on photobucket, upload your images, and copy the IMG tag on the bottem of the page, below the images.

I drew my Jolteon avatar, can i use that as my entry? I technically drew a pokemon, just with a superhero outfit :p
 
It ends before it even started? Why is this thread so un-popular?
