Guys, technically this is a duplicate "what's your favourite ..." thread, but if you guys can just discuss artists here instead of just post your favourites, I might keep it alive. Oh, also, give argumentation and examples instead of just names, thank you.
My favourite artist is and always will be Kouki Saitou, his art is just so manga-like, it looks like sugimory art, but has so much more passion and motion in them. He also use a master in shading and drew some of the best cards in existence. If you really need to know which ones, I made an article about him AGES ago, it must be somewhere on these forums, but I'd have to find it. (1 of the obviously being mew LM)
Fukuda is pretty decent too, his autograph is a bit lame, but the way he used to draw those uber cool shinies...
Kudos to Himeno for having the very best autograph in the existence of mankind, her art is pretty decent too.
(Saw both at worlds, which was great, because I liked both of their art :F)
I'm not the biggest fan of 3D art, but Ryo Ueda beats all when it comes to that IMO.
Ok, well, I'm not going to talk about every single artist I like, but if you're that interested, just look at the previous favourite artist thread.

I like Atsuko Nishida. I think the artwork looks soft and it suits pokemon which are considered weaker or cuter. Some examples would be pikachu (expedition) and plusle and minun (dragon). Nishida also did a great Articuno card (blackstar promo 48). But my personal favourite Nishida is Umbreon (skyridge). I think it really captures Umbreon well because it looks sinister.
I also like Mitsuhiro Arita, who did Pryce's articuno in a VS set. I like the way the shards of ice are coming out of it.

First let me say, I would have never tought i would care, since i think art is useless/pointless....
Now to my point about this topic...

his cards are amazing.... like the new electevire from secret wonders (i hate electevire)wow... also the evolutions of evee from unseen forces i believe, the ones that are both their regular type+ steel.... beautiful..... also i think the sugimori guy lost it a while ago.... feel free to reply to me saying ...Kouki Saitou is the best hands down.....

In my opinion, Ken Sugimory is the best artist. He draws the absolut best pokemon. But that doesn't mean he makes the best cards. One of my favorite looking pokemon is Delibird from TRR. I say it is a tie between Ryu Oeda, The "caly" making artist, and Shizoru. I wonder what his real name is?
But, I do have to say, that some of Ken's better looking pokemon cards are the DP Baby pokemon.
Just a thought, but, if you could have one card signed, what would it be? I wold most definatly get my Infernape Lv.X signed.

also... not only does Ken draw awesome... you aren't a TCG fan if you don't know this by the way...XD

One thing I'm not too fond of about Ken Sugimori's drawings, is that they're just the pictures. No REAL 3D effect. Take Omastar Power Keepers for example. Its JUST A PICTURE OF THE POKEMON. No, movements, no effects, just the picture.
I like Ryo Ueda's work quite a bit. He helps on many of the exs and *'s I beleive. However, I don't like some of his earlier work.
Also, just a funny joke. If you look on the card, "Duel Ball", the illustrator is, "Big-Mama- Tagaguwa"

Also, Shizurow is also one of my faves now since My Time-space Distortion was made by him, I just have to look at it all day!
