You kids and your silly little photoshop. I would like to see how you people fair with out your electronics. Lets have the next one HAND DRAWN! :D

Srsly though... I do think there should be some restrictions on what counts. It's slightly annoying to lose to something that wasn't even drawn by the person who did the banner thingy. I spent a lot of time actually drawing mine, and making my own creation, not rearranging someone elses... IMO if you don't draw/make it your self, it shouldn't be allowed.

However, IMO you piece was supposed to win, it was simply amazing..I dunno what the others did :/
Next theme will be handdrawn then!

Haha, you guys are going to be sorry for that theme. Being inspired to go back to traditional because of this contest is sure to produce something awesome.

More than likely it'll be something pen/ink and Watercolor because those are my pretty little pet media. x3

Also, congrats TSL and Soul! I'd congratulate myself but I'll just pat myself on the back instead of talking to myself in a forum online... yeah... not creepy at all...
 
If the next one is hand drawn, this'll be fun ^_^ I just have to see if it is Pokemon only because I suck at Pokemon =/ But I could try. The main problem would be trying to finish drawing and scanning it by the end.
 
Hmmm, I am curious about that as well. I guess I'll wait.

Though traditional isn't really a theme... it's a medium. It's nice to have that challenge though... maybe there should be a theme plus the rule that it has to be done traditionally?

lol glad you liked it so much. TBH, I was a little lazy with it. I've drawn much better when I have the time.

I don't have anything against digital art. I just think that it's use should be limited in contests, because I want to see what others can create. I don't want to see how well the can rearrange someone elses image. Fine if you do digital art with your own stuff, that's cool. I just don't think using someone elses image should be allowed, because that's what people are going to vote for.

For example, I could make digital art using a professional painting that someone else did. IMO People more likely than not would judge and vote on how cool the original piece that I used looked, not on what I actually did with it.

Can't wait to see what everyone does for the next one!

Well mine was digital but was hand drawn. Just because it's digital doesn't mean it's not original. I do agree with you though about the tags and sprites and such, but no one seemed to be interested in mine, which I put hours of work into drawing from scratch. -.-

Honestly yours was my favorite just because of the fact that you actually drew it.

Yeah. Like I said, I have the same pet peeve. This next contest should challenge everyone so it'll be fun!
 
I hope maybe the next contest could be extended. I could never do what I'm planing in a mer week. Oh well, I just draw it anyway ^_^
