Best of luck to you my friend i also have all the seasons but in no way have the time to watch allof them again as for the episode guide http://www.serebii.net/anime/epiguide/ this has every episode click on one and it has a compleate overview of the episode but i really think you will be done half way threw johto keep up the hard work
Hey did ya start with a level 5 pikachu as the toys r us pikachu is at level 50 and being that it was ashs starter would it not be pointless to use the level 50 to build a TRUE ashes pikachu?

@safariblade: Since Pidgeotto was not KO'd (I believe), no EVs were earned. If it WAS KO'd, then thats when you get the EVs.

Just relized that your gonna do all this work an pikachus move set is probably gonna change this season being in a new reigon, and i don't think pikachu has learned a new move since Volt tackle or Iron tail and that was back in Hoenn LOOK OUT! Here comes Pikachus Wild Bolt!

Also, Ash's Pikachu from Toys R Us IS Ash's TRUE Pikachu, minus the EVs. Even though it's at level 50, it has the correct nature, OT, and ID number to be Ash's. With the EVs, it will be a perfect and complete replica.

As Hatman said, Pidgeotto was not defeated, and therefore no EVs were earned.
Pokemonepisode.org, as someone mentioned earlier on in the thread, is an INCREDIBLE website. I've been using that for each episode thus far, although I have been following up the episodes with guides from other sites to assure I'm getting accurate information.
Also, Ash's Pikachu from Toys R Us IS Ash's TRUE Pikachu, minus the EVs. Even though it's at level 50, it has the correct nature, OT, and ID number to be Ash's. With the EVs, it will be a perfect and complete replica.
I have not decided if I'll change the moveset. I probably won't. I am using the event Pikachu, which already has all of Pikachu's true moves.

Oh yeah, when I went to that Pokemon Episode website, my comp said it had malware, so I X'd out of it before anything bad could happen. Luckily, I am 100% sure nothing did. Did any of you have that same problem?

This project is all about EVs. If Pikachu made a Pokemon faint OR was entered into a battle and put directly against a Pokemon (or more than one Pokemon) that fainted, Pikachu will gain the EV that the Pokemon gives (which I've been using Serebii.net to research). If you understand how EVs work, this is really a no-brainer.

Honestly, I'm really enjoying doing this by myself. It really is fun reliving my childhood while working on a great project. While I really do appreciate the offer, I would like to stay a lone wolf with this. However, and this goes for anyone, if you want to check my work, please do. While I am being extremely thorough, I am only human and can make mistakes. I will not take it personally or be upset by any means if you do see a mistake.

Nah, I think what he's doing now relives the days better. I mean, it's not like Ash berry-wiped the EVs off of Pikachu between regions, and Pikachu probably maxes out it's EVs by the end of Johto and easily was level 100 by Sinnoh. This is a bit more accurate in that sense, but yours was another interesting idea.

It really is accurate. Because in the anime now, Pikachu can't really get any better, just learn new moves.

That's a problem with power levels you often see in shonen anime.
Besides the pokemon anime doesn't play by the rules of the game. In the game, you can predict what will happen (excluding randoms factors) because the battle style operates on a fairly deterministic system (eg. super effective always induces a damage multiplier of 2).
In the anime it's just "Thunderbolt!" "Dodge it, pikachu!" "Dodge it!" "Use Iron Tail!" "Dodge it pikachu!" "Use Thunderbolt on the whatever to do the whatever" "Dodge it!"

I don't think that makes sense. I understand that Pikachu still manages to lose to the first gym leader every time in a new region, but it still technically has the EVs. Unless an episode shows Ash giving Pikachu berries that remove them, I'm sticking to one Pikachu. Four Pikachus would not be Ash's true Pikachu, and that's the goal of this project.
