In some RPGs, you have the power to chose Attack or Defense, but which means more to you? Do you want a high attack to punish the weak, or do you want a high defense as a wall of security? :headbang Discuss and have fun.

Usually I pick defense,but sometimes I pick attack.I like defense,because I don't die fast.:p

that kinda depends on speed as well.

but given the same speed, id go with attack.
its better to dish out damage than to keep taking them.
at some point, you gotta kill the enemies, so why not just start attacking hard right off the bat

I prefer all out offense, but in difficult situations, I'll most likely be "Power Boosting" my defense.

I'd say speed and attack because you attack first have high attack and defence will just make you go slower and low attack.:p

As Ash once said 'A good defence is a strong offence'. I agree with this. I think that if you attack, you will be hit back, but if you defend, you can actually defeat people, too. Like on Fencing in Wii Sports Resort. :)

I think it means that if you have a strong offense, you also have a good defense. I like offense.

I generally like balance, or even just a stalled approach. But I like to turn the tables too. I guess I like controlled and limited, but firm offense.

Defense is for me. While I don't like stalling, I despise hyper offense and frailty, and always take the time to set up defenses so I can create a strategy and observe my opponent. But like many have said, you have to attack sometime or another.

Attack and speed mean everything to me. If I kill them before I take a hit, why would I need defence? And I don't like to stall, I just want to kill everything and get my gold to upgrade my stats and weapons; aren't I so nice? :p

I depends on the RPG. Take Dragon Quest for example. I'm on the final boss, and if you don't have good defence you'll never survive. You can doo some heavy damage but almost all of his attacks can kill you in one hit, unless you have a palidin. (Which I do!) In fact I've had to stall out many bosses. If you asked me this before I played Dragon Quest, I would have without a doubt gone offense. But Dragon Quest changed my view.
