RE: Avalon (The Resistance) -- Game 2 - Round 1

There's no reason to say no to the first mission, you should know this.

Except, if I'm not on the first mission, then I'm most likely not on the second mission. And again, I don't like those odds.

I think you should put Lugia on the mission because I really doubt Celever would have forgotten to send the role to a wolf.

Kinda wifom-y, don't you think?
Not really?

Why?

I haven't played this game before and I don't really get the odds or why WW is trying so hard to get on the mission. I really doubt even a wolf would fail the first mission because those two people in it would never be put on a mission again and be labeled with 50% wolf. So this mission will probably go through either way.

I don't see why it's better to take WW than anyone else. Even if he "knows" he is town we don't, and he can always easily lie about it.

Because those odds are worse than with me on the mission. It will probably go through either way, but I can both still try to get on the mission, and convince you to allow me onto the mission. You may not believe me, or think I'm lying, but again, I can still try to convince you.

RE: Avalon (The Resistance) -- Game 2 - Round 1

Hey all I'd like a sub for Porygon-X. I nudged him yesterday, but he still hasn't posted, so he'll be subbed out at the earliest opportunity!

RE: Avalon (The Resistance) -- Game 2 - Round 1 - Looking For A Sub

I shall tentatively sign up... hopefully this will be an interesting experience :D
I won't be here next weekend (11-13), so if that's going to be a major factor then I'm letting you know now just in case.

That's OK about next weekend. Everything will just be on a but if a hiatus for those 2 days lol. Lots of discussion! :p

I'll send you your role. Right now you need tomeither approve or reject this mission.

RE: Avalon (The Resistance) -- Game 2 - Round 1

orright let's do this!
WW seems kinda desperate to get put on the team, and I don't see why he can't help us even if he's not on the team. I mean, it's not like he gets some sort of power from being on the team.
Thus, I'll vote yes.

RE: Avalon (The Resistance) -- Game 2 - Round 1

So... I'm going to believe that Rev is a spy. The fact that he has a role when others didn't + using bandwagon logic just makes it seem obvious.
I would greatly appreciate it if we could make this mission fail.

Everyone has a role PM. This should not be an indicator as to whether someone is a spy or not.

So, KoNand rev, please send me success or fail via PM! Your mission got approved! ^_^

Technically, yeah.
But both Lugia and myself got late PMs, and since I'm resistance and so is he, I'm betting that both spies got their PM first and you kind of forgot about the rest of us. -.-

Also, I hope this mission works.
I mean, it probably will, but whoever goes next please put Lugia on the team.

RE: Avalon (The Resistance) -- Game 2 - Round 1

Wouldn't Teal... be almost resigning (almost, or putting A LOT of trust in rev, Lugia and KoN) if he was to put Lugia on M2. There's 2 spies, and if he's not on the 2nd mission, then he's basically either a spy who knows a spy in on M2, putting a ton of trust in Rev, KoN, Lugia... or, he's just confirmed to the spies that he's Merlin.

I'd advise not listening to KoN, Teal. Or do, I'm not going to trust you if you do, though.

RE: Avalon (The Resistance) -- Game 2 - Round 1

Wander, your logic is basically: "There's only two spies, so since these three people are working together I won't trust you if you agree with them."
Not enough reasoning there.

You're trying to get everybody to trust you... By not trusting anybody. Wat.

RE: Avalon (The Resistance) -- Game 2 - Round 1

Keeper:
There's six of us. Three of us must be on M2. If Teal puts Lugia on M2 instead of himself, he's one of the only 3 not on the mission. There's two spies. If he was to not put himself on M2, believing that I and PMJ were spies (from everyone else's point of view), then he would be putting A LOT of trust in you three.

This must be because of one of three reasons:
- There's a spy on M2, and Teal is also a spy.
- Teal is dumb and trusts you 3 based on no information.
- Teal is Merlin

Two of the reasons involves Teal being dumb, which I don't think Teal is... But then again, it's his first game. But, this game takes a lot of features (in spy/scum hunting) from Werewolf, and Teal is seasoned at that. However, though, giving himself away as Merlin would then involve him being dumb, except not in a feature of scum hunting, so it comes down to Teal being Merlin or being a spy. But, that's my opinion.

Learn to reaction test, please. What went wrong with last game was the lack of statistics, the ratios of players and missions, and the lack of reaction testing.
Statistics gives you half the information, you need the reaction tests to push you past the unknown status of two or three people and decide which you think is a spy.

It may seem like I don't trust anyone, but it's M1, and most of the time, my playstyle is loud and aggressive. For two reasons: take attention off Merlin, or take attention off my fellow spy. When I am Merlin, it's a double bluff. Pick one whenever you feel like it.

-----

Also, I may sound like a blathering idiot in some of my posts. I tend to just blurt out my thoughts at will whenever I play this, so that's what I'm going to do here.

RE: Avalon (The Resistance) -- Game 2 - Round 1

Also, my main logic for everything right now is statistics. Hence why I dislike literally everything. Also why I'm attacking everything and everyone that doesn't have me on it, because I like to get past the statistics stage and get opinions on everyone.

If Teal were to put 3 OTHER PEOPLE on a mission, believing that himself and the three people on the mission were resistance (which, again, would be a dumb move, at this point in the game.), he would be believing that you and I (the two not himself or on the mission), were spies.

RE: Avalon (The Resistance) -- Game 2 - Round 1

Just in case you believe me, I did get a role PM telling me that my role was a normal resistance member.
Anyway sent.

May I ask you why you even think I would do that?

Anyway, you just basically told us that you are a spy by thinking that resistance memebers don't get role PM:s... :>

RE: Avalon (The Resistance) -- Game 2 - Round 1

That mission was a SUCCESS and as such Dr. Inspector Celever wasn't called in to work that day.

Teal, please select a team of 3 people to go on this endeavour! ^_^

RE: Avalon (The Resistance) -- Game 2 - Round 2 -- R 1 | S 0

Of course, it was bound to succeed anyway.

Teal, I suppose your first instinct would be just to throw yourself with Rev and I, but remember that Lugia is pretty much confirmed at this point.
I would pick (between Rev and myself) which you think more likely to be resistance, keep that person, and put yourself and Lugia on board.

Or, ignore me, and stick with the original plan.
