B/W how good is the set?

How good do you think the B/W set is going to be out of 10 and why?

and feel free post any techniques.
 
7/10 - because they took out alot of cards for the boy girl starter cards

the cards are pretty good:
cinccino - do the wave
emboar
samurott
serperior
bouffalant
reuniclus
zoroark

basically all the holos - they are going to be like prime rarity


could have been better with the other cut cards.

only thing i dont like is the new card design and colors
i feel like the saturated colors are very off putting and make it look like the base set original cards

also, from my experience with the theme deck, the quality/production value of the cards were not top notch, but hopefully thats just my case.
 
4/10, not very good cards IMO, maybe 2 or 3. Now, without Catcher, I'm going to just one PR.

Good cards:

Zoruark
Gothitelle
Zekrom?
Do the wave pokemon.
 
I like Munna and Musharna because on your first turn you can make a pokemon asleep and then on your second turn you can knock out a pokemon and possibly win the game I also like Zoroarks foul play and you can use it on your 2nd turn with a DCE.

I think the art is really cool and will be fun to collect.

So I put 10/10

I bet Gothitelle will be in the 2nd B/W set.
 
the only thing good in the set are the 8 holos, which you can probably buy pretty cheap in singles.
 
The set's artwork is pretty awesome overall, there's not many holos and almost no super rares. So glad for that last one especially.

As a collector, this pleases my wallet!
 
not really. boxes still cost the same... and your still not guaranteed to get a full set from just one box

holos are going to be around prime prices randing from 3-6$
 
What makes you think that? We've had sets with this few holos before. And I only need one copy each, so I can just get the entire set on eBay minus the super rares for like $60 or whatever.
 
4/10 since most of the good cards were cut from this set to keep the format balanced despite it's flaws. If they cut Zekrom and Reuniclus I'm going to be disappointed. Either way this is an introductory set that will most likely be as horrible as Call of Legends was.

because troll and toad has already posted up preorder prices, and the holos tend to be quite pricey

if you can get a full set for $60 minus the two ultra rare legendaries, then thatll be an awesome deal
 
I like this set because of:
- Emboar
- Zekrom
- Zoroark
- Cinccino
- Serperior (the one with the ability, of course... It's in this set, isn't it? ISN'T IT???)
- Reuniclus

4/5 because they've cut the Pokémon Catcher and Cheren.
 
@Ahiro: To answer your question, yes, Serperior is in the set.
Also, I agree, I think people are hating on this set too much when the fact is, it's actually a pretty decent set.
 
eh its ok. they cut the best cards. i want the awesome emboar. i want to sell my catchers for super high (seriously i predict they will become the new BTS price wise lol). i wonder if we will ever get the cards they cut. catcher will be a monster.

I could be wrong about this, but on the front page of pokebeach with the set list it says that there are two Emboars in the set so I'm pretty sure we're getting the good Emboar. And you're probably right about Pokemon Catcher.
